Good draw and amazingly a home game for a change. Take it this will be played midweek. I also note the similarities between this Sevco mob and Rangers are remarkable; they even get drawn at home for the Cup games.

Good draw. Been a while since weve played raith rovers.

    When are the ties played?

    Would have prefered der huns.

Our bus isn't going to this but thankfully a couple of my mates are Raith Rovers supporters and one of them is driving through, so it looks like a mixed car for this one.

This tie gives us a chance to let a few of our youngsters experience a cup game but at the same time, we should make sure we progress - which I'm sure we will.

Raith at home is a good draw.
Can't wait to see Sevco get raped by motherwell.

Last 2 results have been Motherwell 1-2 Rangers and Rangers 0-0 Motherwell with the oldco.

I reckon McCall will really want to win this one otherwise he'll look very very stupid and corrupt.

25th and 26th September. Not sure yet who gets to play when or if one of the ties gets televised.

Last time a mid-week cup game took place between these 2 teams at Parkhead was 2000/2001 where 27k people showed up. With the game being sandwiched between two CL ties. Its hard to see how they'll be anymore than 23k. Unless the "We salute you Turnball Hutton" mentality is still alive and kicking. Normally, I wouldn't bother going to a game like this, but I'll go along for the sake of boosting the numbers.

I imagine it'll be on the season ticket, and maybe the prices won't go over the £20 mark for an * (even though I feel if it were a kids ticket should be £5 with an *). So in hoping of that maybe we could see a decent crowd.

Nice that we got a rare home cup draw. It seems like we have almost always been away in the cups the past few seasons.

    I'm not picky.
    It's a toughie for McCall.

    1) Does he let his ol' Mason buddy win the match - again - to help them get further in the competition, or...
    2) Does he want to win against a Division 3 side and not get humiliated by a new club

I'll put bets on that he "rests" a few of his first team starters and regulars though

I would like to see Celtic make the cup game £12 for adults and £5 for kids.

Pretty sure we could close of the top tear and fill the whole of the lower tear, should get around 25k and It would make for a better atmosphere!

I like Raith so let's reward then with a decent crowd :)
