booing after todays game

i was a bit dissapointed today. after the game there was a number of fans booing. i understand fans pay their money so are entitled to voice their opinion however, this is an ideal oportunity to bleed some youngsters in . we are carrying a few injurys and although some people expect us to steamroller this league, we have no * given right to win every game even when we are at home. please ghuys, show support win , lose or draw. this will be a good year for us . the futures bright . the futures green n white.

 

I wasn't overly dissapointed today actually, considering we were missing 5 players or so.

 

Funny how 90% of the fans was hoping for a more competetive league without the huns, but rageing when this happens. This would need to happen more often to make the league more competetive. Not that i want us to drop points though.

I was at the game and never boo. However, i understand that we can't win every game, but the manner in which we lost the goals was very frustrating, and i know we have a lot of players out but Commons was started on the bench out of complacency. Even if he had a knock, he could still have started. People say play the youngsters, give them a chance to develop, but we can't have it both ways and play nice football whilst playing them. They should be gradually introduced like Lennon has been doing and that's the way it should stay. I would much rather we play the football this team is capable of by playing the best team available (except before CL games possibly) and that was not done today.

Frustrating but booing after an unfortunate draw vs Hibs with a patched up side is embarrassing.

 

how, would you understand what fans feel when you will not allow fans to voice there opinion, when it all points, you want your opinion as support the team win lose or draw

 

I couldn't hear the crowd that much with the * stream that I had but I thought I heard some booing at the end, which I thought was pathetic. Only 4 league games into the season and was just a bad game for us in front of goal and yet the team (which was far from full strength with a pieced together CB pairing, two CM who were under 18 and an under 18-year-old up front with Hooper) get booed by some idiots.

Seem to have a short memory that we got into the Champions League on Wednesday night, and as Skelleto said above, most fans want a more competitive league as if it's not then the league will "become very boring", yet as soon as we have a * match the team get's booed by sections of fans

I think some fans need to remember that we have no given right to win every match no matter who we're playing.

 

I wasn't booing for the record but thats right you take the moral high ground from your stream. Think the boo boys were booing at the manner in which we conceded the goals and the shear fact that we were forced to play 2 CM who in all honesty aren't good enough to play for the first XI yet.

 

I would imagine if anyone boo'ed,it would be the new breed brats who have been spoiled since O Neills era.

 

didn't hear the booing....very sad, some people think it's a foregone conclusion that when celtic take to the park it's a safe three points and loads of goals. We are THE team to beat in the SPL this year, everybody is out to beat us as they are every year. I understand that we have a higher calibre of player and that on paper we should be destroying the SPL every week, but life doesn't work like that.

Celtic have to fight for every point and people seem to forget that, idiots.

 

When did I accuse YOU of booing? And because I was watching a stream and not at the game I am taking a moral high ground and I'm not entitled to give an opinion about a section of idiots that boo the team after a bad day at the office?

I don't care what they were booing the players for - it was uncalled for. It was pish defending for their two goals, yes, but to boo the team was way over the top and I could understand it better if we were playing a team from Division 3 (like Sevco :smiley-laughing002.

Irvine had to come on because of the injury to Wanyama, so Lenny was forced to play with two under 18's in midfield. We also have plenty of other players out with injuries at the moment so what else was he supposed to do?

I said it before and I'll say it again - to boo the team like that was pathetic.

 

I was at the game today, and see so called fans who think that a 2 each draw with a shity hibs team is acceptable, well they can fk off, i have been following Celtic for over 40 yrs, and the choice of players today was out of order, we need to get back to respect as in it won't take youngsters to win the league, but seasoned pro's, all for bringing in young new players but Lennon is showing disrespect and selling fans short.

I will stand by any fan who wants to show his displeasure at team display or selection because we live in a democrocy not a dictatorship, so long live free thinkers

 

You sound like someone who thinks we should have a full strength team out every game............even if 4 or 5 of our first choice team are injured.

 

Who would you have played then?

Brown? Ledley? Kayal? Stokes? No wait, they are all injured...

Sammy? Mulgrew? Commons? no wait, they must be carrying knocks.

Maybe Vic should have ignored his dead leg and came out for the second half?

 

Sometimes booing is aimed at the board, a lot of fans thought the board would help NL with some decent money to bring in a couple of quality players to help out the young guys in the team, its not an old side we have and a bit of experience would help the less experienced lads at the club. I'm sure Celtic could have spent about 8 million on transferes given that they are getting 15 million from the champ league + ,,, also the merch sales of the new strip and other things will have brought in a few million plus ticket sales etc...

But fans should get behind the team and encourage the lads on the pitch. The team cant win every game and they will drop points its not the end of the world and if you think about it we can rest players before and after big games as we are not in a must win every game league anymore.

 

Were you at the game today, and bringing on a player who not one round about me had even heard of him young Irvine, well that is my point, bring in young players when we are winning and in front but not like today, or even today because he has been doing this since the start of the season.

Get the league sorted out and well in front then bleed players, or are you one of these's green tinted spec wearers and think everything will be a push over
