    One thing that McFadden does have is experience, something the majority of our squad still lacks. Still though, I'd take Owen and Del Piero ahead of him.

    i don't doubt that at his best, faddy was an excellent player and would have been good for us

    just think that so long out of football due to injury can't have been good for him, doubt he's anywhere near as good as he was

    if it his him I'll support him of course but i would be a bit underwhelmed

    I have asked that, but I just read something about him on internet (will find the link)

    Wolfsburg loaned him out in the Jan transfer window and he is/was considered surplus to requirements by Wolfsburg.

    I feel quite confident it will be Del Piero for some reason.

    I think the club released the "not well known" statement to lower expectations so that everyone will freak out when they reveal DP.

    The statement on the Sydney site (http://www.footballaustralia.com.au...c-clarifies-alessandro-del-piero-status/48817) may also be an indicator. Most of the UK news outlets had this one done and dusted, and I think Sydney felt it was finalised too.

    I don't think they would have posted that statement if they were sure they had him.

    One last hurrah for Del P in the Champ's league where he belongs and he can go and out his feet up in Austrailia next year :50:
