    Think its * up we've left it until deadline day to 'try' and bring in a player(s).

    Hopefully we get a CL quality player, we don't need the likes of Russel and Co to win the SPL.

    If Forster is our only signing this window I won't be disappointed tbh. I know we all want to compete in Europe but at the same time our current squad got us there in the first place.

    We realistically don't have much competition in the league so we can afford to give some of our academy boys a chance. We all love getting new boys in but seeing someone like Watt or McGeouch come in and play the way they have gives me much more satisfaction.

    The other reason I'm wary of spending is I would rather we lowered our debt this season as I feel next year be more of a struggle financially. We can't guarantee Champions League football every year unfortunately so we need to be frugal

    Aye, I know what you mean. That being said if we can get Ambrose in for 1mil and a striker either on loan or for a similar price then that's still pretty good business and I think everyone would be happy.

    Those players weren't proven goalscorers in Europe when they started out. He certainly has talent so I'd be happy to give him the chance to prove he can compete on the big stage.

    I respect your views but i 100% disagree! All the talk of if we get to the Champions league Lennon will be granted money for new signings better not have been just hot air! We are financially as secure as we could hope to be there is ZERO chace of us going the way of the Huns!

    Also if we do buy a couple of quality players that may be the difference between us qualifing for the next round which will in turn bring in more finances to the club..

    Come on Lenny give us something!:50:

    this transfer window was very simple for Lennon in my eyes.

    Step 1 - Sign Forster
    Step 2 - Flog Ki
    Step 3 - Get rid of the deadwood
    Step 4 - qualify for CL or Europa league
    Step 5 - Once we know what comp. we're playing in make signings.

    I reckon there will be at least 2 signings this evening. Maybe even 4 if the likes of Wickham or Barclay come in on loan and a low-key 3rd choice keeper is signed.

    :56: Aye, well you're definitely right there. I think a CB and striker would keep the majority of practical fans happy. If it wasn't for Murphy and Bangura both going out the door I would've been happy with just a CB to be honest.

    I hope we don't buy any SPL players today. One we don't need them to win the title and there is no guarantee they will be a success in the CL and two we will just be weakening teams at a time when we need all the competition we can get.

    I will be glued to SSN all day now.
