Wee Messi is such a legend :celt_2:

I can see Barca destroying Benfica tbh. Benfica will be out to attack and Barca will just pick them off with ease. Even if they do rest their stars, their are world class players who would walk into any team in Europe coming into replace them. Thiago, Villa, Song, Mascherano, Pedro, Sanchez, Tello. Scary talent

I'm sure messi will be playing, he plays every game for them and I'm sure he'll put on a performance for us :50:

Would love for them to be getting pumped 3-0 at half time and us 2-0 up.

I want to win tomorrow because of their manager nearly as much as I do from being a Celtic supporter!

Oh, and I hope the Barca squad sees the last quote to get fired up, and Messi plays anyway!

I hope Benfica get absolutely * hammered. Hate the club, hate the players, hate the manager. Arrogant, cheating *.

Oh, and have a look at the goals scored/goals against column and ask who plays 'negative' football. Celtic 7/7, Benfica 5/5.

Let's put them out, Celtic! COYBIG!

BTW Ari doesn't actually say Benfica should 'rightfully' qualify for the last 16, nowhere in his quotes does he say that, he simply says Benfica overall are a better team than we are and guess what he is probably right.

They on the whole have better players than we do, but lets just see who comes out on top on wednesday evening.

So if we qualify second we are still a lesser team than Benfica and Spartak? Sounds like mighty sour grapes from Benfica's manager.

Hopefully we can get the job done Wednesday night, with a little help from Barca, and laugh in the face of this smug *.

Iniesta, Xavi, Mascherano, Pedro, Alba and Cesc have all been left out of the side for Wednesday’s game with Benfica http://bit.ly/XlCXjD

Haha Barcelona will still dispose of Benfica, don't you worry about it :D The quality they have is frightening, and these boys that are coming in to replace Iniesta and co will want to show their manager why they are employed by such a club.

We need to try and just forget about Barcelona, we have to make sure we do the business, win the game and then see what happens in the other game. Spartak will be fired right up for the game so winning won't be easy.

If benfica win the game against barca, as hard as it will be to do, you'll have to hold your hands up and say fair play to them, they'll have earned their place in the next round. I'm so * nervous for tommorow, will be an incredible night

Aye absolutely! We need to focus on what is in our hands and that is our game against Spartak, we can't get too preoccupied with what Barca are doing, we just need to win our game and see what happens, its a great position to be in.

Our own form (especially home) is worrying enough without looking at Benfica. I agree with Cammy that we should just focus on us. We need to win, simple as that. If we win we've done our job and nothing more we can do about it.
Think we will do it. We'll be right up for it tomorrow (even though we should be like that every game, especially at home).

    I'll predict 2-1 Celtic.

(and add that Barca will win 3-1)
