Celtic played brilliantly for most of the game in Moscow, our victory wasn't luck.

 

We have had our share of good fortune in this group. We will need to improve if we are to beat Spartak in the last game.

But against Spartak we weren't lucky. We weren't even defensive, we were brilliant.

 

James Forrest made the difference. He was brilliant. If he is fit for the last game then we are in with an even better chance.

 

I think you're taking our recent Euro success for granted. Scoring 3 goals in Russia is a huge accomplishment. Coming home with 3pts is majorly impressive. And this is on a shoestring budget against mega-rich Eastern Europeans.

 

We should have had a penalty and their 2nd goal was offside too. If anything Spartak were lucky.

 

Spartak an Average side? Are you having a laugh, their front line is seriously impressive. Ari/Welliton/Emineke have virtually everything you want in a strikeforce.

Pace/Power/finishing/skill/technique/touch they are three very very good players. I would not underestimate a wounded animal, spartak are and will be a dangerous opponent when they come to parkhead in 10 days.

 

That ' average side ' almost left the nou camp with 3 points! Does that make us an average side aswell? We were exceptional vs spartak. We earned those three points and we have shown that we can handle our own at the big boys table.

Yes they do. Osasuna, getafe and hercules have all beaten barcelona in recent years. Rubin Kazan beat them in the Nou Camp in the CL. We are a very average side. Christ inverness and kilmarnock have beaten us at celtic park this season.

Our European results, achieved against a far higher standard of opponent than Inverness, show that we are evidently a team with ability and potential.

 

In a * dilema, spaces have opened up on the coach for spartak from dublin but none of my mates can afford it, not been away with that csc before and i know ye meet people and have the crak on the bus but it is one of them things ye want someone ye know with ye.

This conversation is about Celtic not Barca. I'm not saying Barca are average you are putting words in my mouth. What I am saying is although we have good results in Europe we still haven't progressed to the last 16. In the league we have been absolutely dreadful against poor opposition. If we are a team with such great ability and potential like you said then we should be stringing a few wins together in the SPL * sake

 

I applied the exact same logic as yourself but that has evidently been lost on you.

 

It's not i understand what you are saying. Our league form suggests we are average but the Barca result suggests we are a good team. I would just like a bit of consistency where we compete in europe and get a run of wins domestically as well. We should be getting a bit more out of the squad.
