i agree it will be a scrap but i think Spartak will nab it. whatever the outcome, i think it'll be tight between 2nd and 4th.

if you look over the pages there's talk of us talking 12 points off of Benfica and Spartak which is just ludicrous.

tough group but i'm looking forward to it. wouldn't put money on who will finish where as i think it's very competitive group.

 

A McGeady fan Spartak games are shown on TV here on ESPN quite a lot and I usually watch them, have seen about 10/12 matches.

Benfica and Spartak will not be easy. Barca will have 6 points v us Benfica could take 3 or 4 off us and its between us and Spartak for 3rd spot.

 

I think we'll need an away win to get through.

2 home wins and one away win should be enough.

Although the Huns got through in 2005 with 7 points!

 

we could also sacafise a few points in the league to make sure we put out a very best squad

i think we could come second we are in a decent position! if we played youngsters and fringe players against teams days before our european games, then played our strongest squad against teams, when theyve had to play first teams in there league games, we could be in a better position!

and it all comes down to luck, we could get a penalty any time of the game, one wrong challenge from one of them teams and a red card shown, were a man up!

 

We don't need to worry about the SPL.

We can play our reserves before CL games.

anyway, i wouldnt say were a better side now than the one you played 5 years ago. potentionally yes, but not atm.

Can't wait for the home games,especially against Barca.I don't think it's as impossible as people are making out for Celtic to progress either.

I was at that game but sit at the other side where I never really see or hear the away fans.

The Celtic fans about about 5 times better now than we where then.

 

I'm pretty happy with that draw.

We avoided the two killer groups, and missed out on the two easier ones.

Interestingly, we have knocked all three of these teams out of Europe in recent years, so hopefully that can give us some kind of psychological boost.

Good start probably the best start we could have wanted. Benfica at home should be our easiest game and Spartak away our easiest away game. Plus the big one, the home Barca game is when everythings up for grabs and no the last game, so it will be rocking!

Wish we had Barca match day 5 or 6.
