    Plus when was the last time we went 6 away games without losing. If everything clicks for us and we get a bit of luck (we have been very lucky so far with our draws - hope it continues) we could get 12 points off Benfica and Spartak. Neither of them are particularly good. But even 7 points, which is the lowest I would estimate. would get us into 3rd and possibly second if they draw with eachother. I can't see us getting anything against Barca seeing as we couldn't get anything against Atl. Madrid last season.

    i think everyone is quick to over look Spartak. i'd probably say they're the team to finish 2nd in the group and it'll be between us and Benfica for 3rd.

    Why are some Celtic fans first thought after seeing the draw to come on a forum and talk down our chances, pray we don't get embarrassed, say we have no chance etc...?

    I'll never understand the mindset of some folk.

    Every group is a tough group but this one is doable BUT we really really need to shore up our defence and buy some muscle and height up top.

    A CB and a Target man, get the right players and we can realistically challenge for second.

    It is a * poor attitude, it's only sprung up in recent years imo. Mostly spoilt brats that were spoiled during the O'Neill era.

    We are at the big bhoys table, if you cannot enjoy that as a Celtic fan then you might as well chuck in the towel. It doesn't get any better than this.

    No it's not. We are a match for anybody at Celtic Park, always have been.

    We were robbed of a win last season against a better team than Spartak or Benfica and we dismantled a tidy Rennes side.

    Absolute bollocks to say any points are a bonus.

    Fenerbache are hardly big spending. About £12m this season. And Spartak beat them 3-2 (agg.) so they weren't brushed aside. Benfica were lucky to make the quarter finals as they got an easy group (Man U , Basle, Otelul Galati) which meant they finished top and drew a second place team (Zenit) who weren't that good either. They beat them 4-3.

    If your negative I'm not going to bother arguing with you but why don't you at least have the courtesy to * off and let the real fans support our team. We want to see our team do well and even if they don't we'll still support them.
