    guessing the folk saying this is our chance to beat barca didnt watch barca run real madrid ragged at the bernabeau with 10 men in the second half last night? they are the best team in the world with the best players in the world. A draw at home with them would be a great result, don't expect much away but the experience will be brilliant, got to fancy our chances against spartak and benfica though.

    The Hoops have played Barca four times before in European ties, the most recent being in season 2007/08 when they clashed in the Champions League last 16.

    Benfica also played the Celts in the group stages that season after the club had crossed swords in two earlier European meetings.

    And, of course, Celtic qualified for those games against Barca and Benfica in 2007/08 by beating Spartak Moscow in the qualifying round that term.
