Anyone got video of that? That is absolutely magnificent and I'd love to see it!

Edit: Ribery's brother? OK, much less impressive.

LOL! You're funny bro! Because you realise that's precisely what you're doing, right? I don't know Skelleto, don't know or care about his opinions, I formulate my opinions and arguments purely on my own, so attempting to make me and him some sort of anti-Barca tag team of blasphemous rebellion is futile.
My original reply was to that Barca fanboy, when he brought up all their outrageous recent success, such as winning 1 league and a couple irrelevant mickey mouse trophies. You know * well, that not a single fan of Man U, Liverpool, Celtic, Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Stirling Albion give half a condensed * about the world club cup or the supercup. Not one. So why you are peddling you self-created myth that they do, I don't know.
Your sly digs at Liverpool's recent shiteness do not bother me, but do undermine your otherwise meritable attempts at being mature.

Points, shmoints. "Boring" is something my mind perceives based on the visual information my eyes sumbit. It is possible, you know, for a game to feature 6 goals and be boring. Just as it is possible for a 0-0 draw to be immensely exciting. So reel out all the propaganda you like. I assert, once more, that I have found Barca very boring to watch for a while now. A few notable exceptions, excluded. There is no statistical "fact" you can come up with to "disprove" my argument, because I will quite simply always believe my own eyes over some * on the internet. I applaud your efforts all the same.

Yawn. Can't even be arsed reading this chunk of text. Just scrolled the first bit and briefly smirked at your obsession with me being obsessed with someone who's obsessed with Barca. Yawn.

When they're good, yes, like every other human with eyes. Too often though they have been guilty of perpetual horizontal passes with no real intent or purpose, just aimlessly or boringly stroking the ball from left, to right, to left, like the worst game of geriatric tennis - like they did once more tonight. To throw the rhetorical question back at you, how anyone can find that interesting, is beyond me.

Because you so deeply adore Barca, you will make any excuse for them and this extended to your poor attempts to put such "trophies" as the World Club Cup, fought against some Asian amateurs, on the same level as the Champions League.
You were wrong on that count.

I said, correctly, that they have gone downhill since last winning the CL. The fact that all you could desperately conjure up to counter my fact was that they had won that bastion of success and world domination, the Spanish Supercup, only confirms my correctness. So cheers for that, I guess.

You also assumed, to suit your argument and world view, that I support Liverpool more than I support Celtic.
You were wrong on that count.
You then, expanding upon your imagined and incorrect assumption, decided in your head that I would be really happy were Liverpool to win a minor trophy. Well luckily, such a thing did indeed occur only one year ago. And I wasn't over the moon, or any other interstellar item.
So, you were wrong on that count too i'm afraid.

I would be * surprised if Liverpool won the Spanish La Liga though, so I suppose you're kind of half-right on that one. Nearly.

Anything else you wanna be wrong about bro?

    :56: Broony. Legend

Barca will be back next season. A lot of factors need to be taken into consideration here. The greatest player that ever lived wasn`t even fit for both legs and the fact that Villanova was missing for most of the season will have had a serious effect on the team. This is the team that were hammering everyone in the early parts of the season. They only dropped two points in the first 20 odd games in La Liga. Only team to beat them were us and then Tito took ill

Saying that though, I do think they could do with a bit of an overhaul this summer. Its time to give Thiago a regular staring place and start to phase Xavi out a bit. Sell Song, Sanchez, Villa and perhaps Alves. Montoya looks a great prospect so they might as well cash in on Alves before he gets any older. They need a CB and two strikers/wingers. The Neymar deal is done apparently although I don`t agree it. They should also go for Suarez imo and Vincent Kompany. Its rather frightening how far Pedro has went backwards. He`s * dreadful these days. Tello should be on before him

Say about 100m for Suarez, Kompany and Suarez. They could maybe bring in about 50m in sales so its not a whole lot for someone like Barca

    ------------Valdes-------------
    Montoya--Kompany--Pique--Alba
    -----------Busquets------------
    --------Thiago---Iniesta--------
    Suarez------Messi----Tello/Neymar

I must add as well - I * despise Cesc Fabregas with a passion. Theres just something about him

Well you clearly don't have a clue. You said it's all been downhill since 2011 when it clearly hasn't been judging by the trophies won. If it was all downhill Barca wouldn't have won anything at all. Judging by your description of the World Club Cup you know very little about it. It's a big deal to people outside of the UK. I also never said it was as good as winning the Champions League.

You seem to think the Champions League is the only trophy that matters.

    My "world view" :56:

    * *, hope we don't play Barca again for a few years! Power is swinging to Germany at the moment; but Barca are still more than capable of giving us a good spanking on their day and you can guarantee that comment from Brown will be on their dressing room wall.

Hopefully somebody will explain to him that almost the entire team playing the game of their lives to (just!) manage a 2-1 victory against the run of play in front of a packed CP (amazing achievement though it was) does not constitute "teaching them a lesson".

Do you know what "downhill" means? In this context, they (Barca) started off winning lots, and have ended up now this season winning just one thing.
They are winning less trophies now than they were at their peak. The fact that they are also winning less prestigious and important trophies also comes into it, but wasn't the major facet of my point.
This is a DECREASE. A DECLINE. Hence, the phrase - DOWNHILL. Capiche?

It is, if we're talking about elite clubs, which given this is the CL thead, we are.

No it isn't. Go to Catalonia and ask them about the World * Club Cup and after a few seconds of bewildered silence they'll smile politely and walk away from you. It was a farily big deal in Brazil, when a Brazilian team beat Chelsea. But that was purely becausre a Brazilian team beat Chelsea. No-one of any competence in Europe gives half a *.

Didn't Real Madrid sack Jupp Heynckes back in the 90s even though he'd won the CL because he didn't win the league?

You said it's been all downhill. But it hasn't been all downhill at all because they have still had a lot of success.

If Bayern Munich win the Champions League this year and fail to win it next gear but still maintain domestic success. Will you describe them as being all downhill since 2013?

The World Club Cup might not be as important as the Champions League and I never said it was. But the rest of the world don't treat it with disrespect like the Premier League fans do.

I dunno, back in the early 90s I was more interested in playing 25-a-side football matches than actually discussing or analysing it. But I know that Robbie Di Matteo got sacked despite winning the CL.
Capello at Real as well actualy didn't he?
But these facts are irrelevant, the CL is still by a long distance the most prestigious sporting competition on Earth and I can't fathom why anyone would even try and deny that.

Lol. I'm sorry man but your total inability to see the point is definitely making you look like a fanboy.
You still haven't grasped what "downhill" means as a turn of phrase in popular parlance.

If I make 500 thousand pounds one year, and 250 thousand the next, my income is going downhill. I'm still successfull and still making a * load of cash, but i'm going DOWNHILL.

    It's really that simple mate.
