Its funny how people say "They will just buy a couple of players for next season and they will dominate again". Its not this easy in football (Look at most english teams/PSG).

As i said before - Bayern & Dortmund dont need to rely on a single player (Messi/Ronaldo). Their bench has players that is as good as those who starts. All players in the starting eleven is as good as the one next to him. Noone is saying that Barca is dead, they are still a great team! But the absolute dominance is over.

Fanboys allways live in denial though!

The fact that Barca got utterly pumped, worse than anyone else has been pumped in the entirety of this season's European competition, was not the source for my comments. My main complaint with Barca is that they have been producing mind-numbingly boring football for a while now. Devoid of a Plan B, devoid of inspiration. Messi has been their only bright spark, and the only reason to watch them, for about 18 months.

The fact that they have been completely outplayed and humiliated in the Champions League, only cements my point and has made other people believe the same.
They have had longer terms problems for a while, such as eventually needing to replaces Xavi and Villa.
These, compounded with other mistakes, problems and errors, are coming home to roost and voila - their shortlived empire is over.

Barca was just beaten by the better side and well beaten , they are not in decline or *, this has been coming for a while now, Bayern have now reached 3 finals in a row they lost twice and now this is their time to go on and win it .

You are mentioning Barça far more than anybody else here. The hypocrisy!

Ok, now you're letting this blind you. If you're going with this line then be honest and list who Munich lost/drawed to as well. You should have been aware that they finished with the same amount of points as Barça did in the group stages. Lost to BATE (BATE!) and Arsenal, drew Valencia and Arsenal. They scraped by on goal differential with Arsenal, but I doubt we'll hear you claiming that Arsenal are more or less their equals.

If you'd bother reading you'd be able to tell that most of us other than Hammer are saying that Bayern are better and the cycle is going back to Germany right now. But your obsession with Barça is blinding you.

Quote one person saying that. You are an Ibrahimovic fanboy and this is coloring your point of view. Nobody here even supports them really, we just like Messi and the way they play. Most of us are actually happy for Bayern and (especially!) Dortmund. I'd support Dortmund over Barça as I'm sure most people outside of Mystic would. What you need to understand is that your fanaticism and offense taken over the Ibra situation is making you invent arguments against which to close your eyes and scream and making you look ridiculous.

And, again, if you find more goals scored, more goals conceded, and less possession to be more boring then you might want to find a different sport. They were much more efficient under Guardiola, suffocating other sides. If you watch La Liga (or read the thread) you'll see that almost all Barça matches are end-to-end and high scoring. I'm curious as to what you find more boring about it.

I'm sorry Caz but if you can't enjoy watching Iniesta and Xavi in their pomp then I don't understand why you bother watching football at all.

    Childish reply as expected!

I am Swedish and so is Zlatan. He is a hero of my nation. So thats your "attack" out the window.

"noone here supports them really" :56 :56 :56: Most of the guys in this thread take the slightest chance to try to find a "friendly bond" between Celtic and Barca. Why? its because they are extremely popular around the world by kids and gloryhunters due to their success. Hilarious that you bring up my nations hero like i would be offended? Try again with something rwgarding the discussion.

Noone is saying that you're beloved glory hunter club is *. They are just not the same club anymore. Its the nature of the game.

lol, your assumptions about me are humorous but incorrect like the rest of your post.
As for the bolded part of your nonsense, lol *?!?!?!?!? There's not a single right-minded fan on the planet who would even dare to suggest that a national super cup (charity shield) or the world club cup are in the same stratosphere as a Champions League title. You're losing whatever marbles you possessed if you think that. Jesus.

And I don't know what gave you the impression I did not appreciate or enjoy Barca, as i've already mentioned on numerous occasions examples where they played great football. I'll allow you more time to actually read thoroughly in future.

I am merely someone who, apparently rarely, can appreciate Barca when they are at their best, and slate them when they play *. No one else seems able to do that. They have played * and boring far more often than they have good this season, thus is my reasoning for suggesting that their reign is at an end. But lord, please forgive me for my blasphemy, and please do not send these disciples of extreme fanboyism to my door.

Can none of you * read though seriously lol? I have said NUMEROUS TIMES for you lacking-in-comprehension mothercukers, that Barca AT THEIR BEST were brilliant. The problem for them, and my point, is that they are no longer at their best.

    Does you understand this?

What relevance does these games you've highlighted have to the point? They've been beat a few times? I know that, so does everyone else.

I'm not a Barca fan boy and never have been, I support 1 football club and that is it. I am a football fan though and as such I have respect for clubs that try and play football and even bigger respect for those that do it and achieve things. Barcelona are an incredible football club and getting spanked off of Bayern doesn't change a single thing - there are circumstances involved and they will be back.

I genuinely don't know what you're trying to say here. Zlatan's fallout with Barça was large and public, and as you stated he's your hero.

Actually it's because of Catalonia and it dates back before Messi. If you don't understand why a Celtic fan can understand that then you don't understand Celtic. This is not to say that all Celtic fans feel this way, but to call all of them that do glory hunters is just bizarre. You might want to read your history more. And Ibrahimovic is relevant because you clearly can't discuss Barcelona without tears welling up in regards to how Ibra didn't fit. It's ok, it doesn't mean he's bad, it was just differing styles.

Again with the poor reading comprehension. They're not my club, I would rather see Dortmund win above them. And that's all I've been saying as well, so it appears that, as I've said, your obsession with Barça has been spawned by how they interacted with Ibrahimovic and it's affecting your reading comprehension. You get so passionate in your defense of him!

Uhh, point out where I said that. I pointed out that fans (of clubs who actually compete for their domestic league at least) consider their Premier League/La Liga, etc., to be on the same level. If you're going to go with that line of criticism you might want to be right. You and Skelleto have a bizarre tradition of inventing arguments to fight against. Maybe it's because you can't win any of the ones that exist in reality.

You've stated they've been boring for the last two years despite a record points total in La Liga and CL semi-finals along with Messi destroying the single-season mark.

I don't support them. That's what you and Skelleto are utterly incapable of understanding. It's you two who have the obsession, and when people point it out you get more riled and it escalates into a hilarious game of delusion where you can't understand what people are actually arguing because it would make you seem all the more ridiculous. Bayern won, they were amazing, they were beautiful. Most people chose to talk about them, you and Skelleto talked about Barça. Why? For you to prove how smart you were in predicting their downfall (when will it be Bayern's turn???) and Skelleto because of his crush on Ibra. Every question I ask or point I make just riles you two up more because you are arguing against fantasy, against what nobody is really saying. Enjoy.

Tbh i could not care less how ibra did in Barca. My main concern is how he do it in the national team. You still fail to make a good point.

Ofcourse there is a share of religion, but football is not about religion, if you see it that way, then im afraid you should do the reading. Do you think that everyone would cream their fans if lets say Charlton had a supposed "tight bond" with Celtic?

You just try to offend me. And you fail to do so.

Firstly, I was responding to the post where you said that Messi was the only thing making Barca worth watching in the last 18 months. If that's your opinion, fair enough. I'm a little surprised, though. Personally, I would watch Xavi and Iniesta all day.

Secondly, lacking-in-comprehension? Give it a rest.

So your only reason you dislike Barça is because they're popular around the world? And it's not about religion, it's about the regional similarities between Catalonia and Irish immigrants (and Ireland itself). Xavi himself has explained it - hardly the same thing with Charlton, but people do "cream themselves" about another club (St. Pauli). Are you suggesting that those Celtic fans (probably more than the Barça contingent on this board) who support a 2. Bundesliga club are glory hunters. I wouldn't think so.

And I don't try to offend you, I try to point out your delusion and how it relates to Ibra. I think it's fairly obvious to most people.

Anyways, thanks for the lively chat boys, I'll be off then.

I never said they were as important as the Champions League. You said it had been all downhill since 2011 and I should you Barcelona's honours since Wembley to prove otherwise. If Liverpool had won those trophies you'd be over the moon.
