    That's if Aldo is still fighting. I've read rumblings that this could be his last fight, and that he's not in the best of physical condition these days.

    The talk came from one or two of his close training partners, both of whom were happy to give their names and even appear on camera, which makes me think there's maybe something to it.

    He'll never admit as such before the fight right enough, but we'll see I guess.

    Anyone got any idea why the Polish lad who lost to Saul Rodgers wasn't brought back?

    The more cynical among us would say that Ryan Hall was brought in to face Conor's pal due to the fact that he has virtually no striking.

    Don't agree with that, if anything that would be the opposite. A striker is exactly what a striker wants to face.

    Hall was brought back as he lost a majority decision to Saul. I doubt they'd want to be fighting a guy they'd brought into their camp the week previous either!

    Aye, but the Polish lad made it to the semi-finals, didn't he? I'd have thought he'd be a better shout.

    Nah, Hall's a lame duck in this one, mark my words. He has zero striking, and his wrestling is poor.

    He's a pure BJJ guy, and will no doubt get stopped reasonably early in my opinion.

    Hall is either going to get the submission early, or he's getting smashed. And I'd wager that his lack of wrestling (and Artem's takedown defence) will lead to the latter.

    It's a shame as well, because Saul Rodgers has a win over Artem a few years back.

    I agree but he definitely does have stand up. In fact he's as technical at that as he is with his grappling, although nowhere near as talented.

    McGregor will be in the biggest fights out there until he retires. He's not going to smash past him anyway but if he does McGregror will get the rematch.

    Thought Marcin should've got bumped up to the finale instead of Hall, Marcin'd fighting on the prelims anyway so you would have thought he'd have just moved up the card. Hope Artem knocks him out anyway

    Hmm just been watching some of the press conferences there, Conor seemed a little subdued? Didn't seem his usual self anyway.

    I think I'm back at being unsure who will win, I do think Conor has got to Aldo and as Paul mentioned, that wicked almost deceptive left of Conors causes big problems and will do for anyone in this division.

    Saying that Aldo is experienced as * and his leg kicks can shatter the devil's soul.

    Ah * knows, wish I could stay up for the fight but I always tapped out at like 4/5am
