Don't see anyway that McGregor can win on Saturday to be honest. Aldo will probably just spend most of the time kicking the legs off of Conor :smiley-laughing002:

I wonder if Conor fully realises just what a step up Aldo will be from the fights he's had so far.

You don't see how McGregor can win?

The most powerful left hand the featherweight division has ever seen will be his main weapon. Particularly against a right footed kicker.

I really hope McGregor wins but, I think Aldo will have a bit too much for him. It's a tough fight to call though.

Im looking forward to the Weidman Rockhold fight almost as much. I really like both fighters but sort of want Rockhold to win, for no obvious reason.

I think the whole card looks great.I like Holloway, Maia and Gunnar Nelson and will be eager to see the middleweights Jacare and Romero too!

I think Frankie will be waiting on the winner of Aldo/CM. For that reason alone, id like to see CM win, as id love to see Frankie be a champ again, and i think personally, he would beat CM, but i could see him and Aldo 2, being the same as their first fight.

I like Tony Ferguson and Joe Lauzon also, and im looking forward to their fights on the Friday.

Definitely don't feel the same hype as last time, until they step into the Octogon I think I'll be the same way.

I've got guys in work asking about it now, this week it has definitely cranked up.

It is going to be some week of fights, I haven't been this up for Cards since Lesnar was in the UFC.

The interest from people who i would class as "non MMA" fans is staggering.

Can't wait and habe not been this excited for a fight since Chuck Liddels days.

Do you all reckon it'll go the distance or will it be a stoppage? I reckon second round - McGregor

I think McGregor has him shook, and will continue to taunt him in the octagon. I'm hoping for
    and predicting
    a KO win for McGregor.

I think if it goes the distance McGregor will be favoured, he's the star after all.

Is McGregor a big star in Ireland? MNA still gets largely ignored by mainstream media although that's changing, does he get a lot of coverage in the media Ireland?

I honestly can't imagine Aldo knocking him out. The only knockouts Aldo has had in the past 5 years were against Chung and Mendes. Against Chung he only KO'd him because Chung put his own shoulder out, and Mendes because he caught him totally off guard with a massive knee to the chin.

Not downplaying that knee (it was some KO), but I can't see mcgregor being caught off guard like that, he's too smart in the octagon. I also don't think that knee would KO McGregor. He has one * of a chin.
My prediction is McGregor Round 2

    Aldo can definitely KO him.

I would be the most shocked I've ever been at any MMA fight if it goes 25 minutes. I cannot see how this fight lasts that long.

It's a possibility if he catches him off guard with a knee to the head as he did with Mendes. Otherwise, I can't see it happening. Look at those elbows Mendes pounded Conor with. When Conor got out of the attempted guillotine and both were back to their feet, Mendes was the exhausted and Conor was still relatively energetic and the clear aggressor while Mendes cowered at Conor's strikes.

That's the only time Conor's chin has been put to the test in the UFC and he passed with flying colours. Like I said, I can't see how Aldo can KO him unless he connects flush with a knee to the head.

Anyone thinking Aldo can only knock McGregor out with a knee is mad in the head.

Any Aldo knockout I've watched has either been a knee to the head, or getting his opponent to the ground and pounding them on the head until the referee steps in. I cannot see Aldo getting McGregor to the ground like that. Nothing mad about that :smiley-laughing002:
