Did Armstrong not score the winner against us a few weeks before he signed? Would be pretty strange if he didn't know who he was.

I think it is correct that he leaves with Ronny.

And by leaving voluntarily it will not cost the club. Wish both him and Ronny success in their future work wherever that might be.

Should never been involved in our management team in my opinion.

Wish him well and all but I don't think we will be hearing of him for while.

I'd expect Kennedy to announce that he will also be leaving.

Good riddance- would like to see kennedy kept on in a coaching capacity within the club though not at 1st team level.

had a chance to prove he was not a * like so many said he was before getting the job and has not done anything to help himself, on the other hand he has not proved he was a a *, but just never done anything to get the fans on his side.

JOHN Collins is to leave Celtic at the end of this season. The assistant manager made his announcement during a pre-match press conference at Lennoxtown today (Monday). It follows the recent news that Ronny Deila is leaving the club.
The former Celtic player, who returned to the club two years ago, said: “I came with Ronny so I think it’s only right and correct that I leave as well.
“Obviously it’s disappointing, but a lot of people would be delighted with what I’ve had. I’ve managed to play for the club and been part of the coaching team and I’ve got two league titles and a cup. History will dictate whether it’s good or bad.
“There’s been lot of highs and obviously there have been lows, but that’s the nature of the business we’re in. Of course, we all want better, we all want more but we got the title, we’ve got five-in-a-row so we pass the baton on to the next manager and see what he does.
“The season will end at the weekend and I would imagine I’ll be going on to pastures new. The new manager will come in and bring his own team with him. That’s normal. I’m going have some summer holidays, some sunshine and then we’ll see what happens.”
The Hoops assistant manager also admitted that disappointment in some key fixtures in this campaign helped to dictate perceptions of the season and, ultimately, the reason behind both his and Ronny Deila’s decision to leave.
“In the big games – Ronny’s said it, everyone’s said it – we’ve not played as well as we could have, so ultimately that’s proved disappointing,” Collins admitted.
“It’s a great challenge to be in at the top end, in the firing line. Every week is a challenge. You win and people are still not happy. You lose and everyone’s very unhappy, but that’s football, especially at big clubs. At big clubs there are high demands and Celtic is a big club, up there with the biggest, and whoever comes in will have the exact same demands that we’ve had and the previous managers have had.”
And Collins is hoping that the new Celtic manager will be able to build upon the five-in-a-row success, of which he and Ronny Deila have played their part over the past two seasons.
“You can’t get the new manager in quickly enough,” he said. “He’s got to assess the squad, prepare for the Champions League games which come straight away and we’ve got a lot of players away on international duty.
“So it’s not an ideal scenario for a new manager to come into – we had it two years ago – it's not easy to manage, but it’s not going to change so you just have to deal with the situation as best you can.
"There have been lots of names mentioned, lots of good managers and coaches, so fingers crossed we get the right one and he has success.
“It was nice to get the victory in front of the home support. It was a terrific first-half performance. The second-half was not so good, but we were delighted with the goals we scored. Patrick scored two wonderful goals and Mika coming up and getting the third, so very positive.
“It was a little bit up and down. Watching the first-half, there was some beautiful football, controlled, good movement and we scored goals. In the second-half, nerves kicked in and we gave the first goal away and we were a bit anxious, but that’s football.
“There are not too many clubs in Europe who’ve got five-in-a-row. A lot of clubs would be fairly happy with five-in-a-row. We’ve got five and the target now is six.”
