Well we can't all be perfect now, can we?

He TRIED this option, it never worked and he never revisited it - so he learned from his mistake there (although, mistake is a harsh word considering he was still working out which players he inherited were best suited where in his new team).

Anyways, his work and efforts with Griffiths has clearly paid off.

I'd settle for good rather than perfect.

It's hugely subjective, we are good compared to other Scottish teams. I very much doubt many neutral fans watch us play and thinks, 'yeh, this is a good team I'm watching here'.

Good teams don't finish bottom of the group in the Europa League, when it's been their main focus. Good teams don't concede as much as us in Europe.

We are not a good team.

I wouldn't say that far. I'd say 3 key positions and set up/tactically a bit more astutely away from being a good side and champions League qualifiers..

Problem is, we seem to be regressing under the same management from just a season/6 month's ago..

Possibly, I think we were a half decent team last year and I think we had 3 quality players in Denayer, Van Dijk and Guidetti.

    Also, an on form Gordon.

In Europa league terms we are a very average team.

Good teams are more than capable of having disasterous tournaments..............sure didn't we bow out of the CL under Lennon in his last season being beaten mostly every game? Isn't that the same team who you say were an absolute joy to watch and broke all sorts of records etc etc?

We are not FAR from being a good team at all - we are on the cusp of being a good team when/if our senior players find some * form, when the manager's new signings to cover lost players get a run of games together also.

If we had kept Virgil and/or Denayer we would be much better off, the fact had to play so many different combinations at the back that made mistakes constantly this season meant Gordon lost confidence in his defence and has looked average this season as well as a lot of other players.

No it's not, we kicked in after the January transfer window that season.

That team was a team that had it's spine ripped out and hadn't replaced, we sorted it by January though.

We aren't a good team. I wouldn't bet on us to beat any team in European competition just now.

So if we started doing things properly and not * up like we have been we would be a good team? You may as well say if we were a good team we'd be a good team mate :56:

We still had these defensive issues when they were here mate, that's my biggest problem. We had quality last year and we still had massive problems.

The * are you babbling about? You said we were FAR from being a good team, which is just nonsense.

We've had our spine ripped out - losing Denayer and van Dijk was * horrendous for us, especially since we haven't had a settled backline until very recently with the partnership of Boyata and Jozo starting to form - and even at that we've seen Izaguirre in and out of the team, so it's almost a brand new backline for us.

We've had little stability in terms of personel in defence.

It doesn't matter who's in defence. We were shipping goals left right and centre with those two last year. We're just a bit worse now because their individual quality is no longer making up for our shortcomings.

Aye, we are far from a good time right now. Like I said, thought we were half decent last year in Europe. That was close to a good team.

Well of course they were 2 cb's eager to impress, Denayer took a while to settle in people forget that as well. The main problem definitely came from not restricting Brown or Bitton to sit deep especially in Europe to protect the cb's and make space & get the ball moving forward.
We got better as the season went on though. We will again this season defensively but the big problem just now is having Brown & Janko out. Also Jozo having not played a lot yet.

Where does that come from though?

How can we possibly know that with any authority?
