6 years is a long stint at Celtic- not many stick around 3 years now.

Think it's more to do with his high standards regarding fitness. Trains hard, still does train hard himself and is In very good shape.
Always like seeing the team who can last 90+ mins. Strachans teams always managed to keep full pelt until the last minute....how many last minute winners did we score under him?

good appointment.so the reason hibs players were complaining about john collins was because he was training them too hard:31:the hibs players sound like a bunch of selfish * tbh espicially with the wages and the fact he won them a trophy.if any celtic player complains to the chairman that hes getting trained too hard then i hope hes fined or shown the door.

Cheers mate, heard this a few times now about his training methods.. Not a bad thing in my book..

Loads, killie away, mcdonald? Huns 2-1, milan, donetsk.. Loads..
We always did it under mon as well and to be fair under lenny also in big games..
Nail biting but no better feeling than a last gasp winner, love it when we come on strong and go for it at the death.. Let's hope we see full on action for 90 minutes under the new regime.. Within reason of course..

The best late goals when Strachan was in charge was away at Tynecastle when we were 2 down and won 3-2. Domestically of course.

Two people involved in the management setup who love Johansen! Only a good thing. Collins always raves about him when he is in the studio on ss.

Anyone else concerned that JC could be being brought in as a fallback replacement in case RD fails? Just a thought. JC makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways, just hope he can handle being the assistant and part of the team and doesn't see this as one step from the top job.

John "Sit- Up King"Collins I think it will be a good appointment. As for the Hibs thing, well it's Ronny Delia who's in charge so he will have final say in all matters coaching etc.

This is my thinking as well.

Doesn't matter what JC got up to as his own man at Hibs, he works for someone else now and will have to adhere to his approach or he will be out on his ear.

For those that think his ego is out of control, the man just took an assistants job at the club he served for 6 years.

His ego seems out of control to me...

My first hero and first name and number I had on my jersey.
Also scored a hatrick against Hearts in a 3-1 win at my first ever game at Celtic park 25/11/1995.
I also wrote to him around that time and he sent back a picture signed to my name, and it is up in my new house I bought last year :)
Great appointment welcome home John Collins!
