I dont know what game you were watching but savage never got past matthews, he either lost the ball or had to pass it back

I went for Brown. Thought Brown, Ledley, Mulgrew, Sammy and Izzy were our best players.

Forster kept us in the game with two great saves.

Brown, he controlled the game particularly in the first half.

There are perhaps a handful of players, nevermind centre backs, who can take the ball near their own penatly box, play one one-two to get themselves next to the corner flag, then swing it right on to the head of the man at the back post. World class.

Forster kept us in it, Ledley scored and set one up but some of Commons passes were sublime.

Brooney for me. Bossed the midfield, didn't give the HJK players any time on the ball and drove the team on. Just what we were missing at the weekend.

    Mulgrew followed by Forster.

Brown grafted but that miss in the first half could have cost us dearly, it was absolutely terrible and purely because of how casually he took it.

I honestly don't know what some of you saw in Brown tonight. I thought he was very poor. I have nothing against Brown and I think he's a good player but tonight I thought he was rubbish! Voted Commons.

Was a toss up between Forster, Ledley and Muldini.

Went for Ledley because he played a major part in both goals.

Brilliant display by Forster though, just brilliant.

Agreed. I was gobsmacked when I seen that people were voting for him. No matter what too many of our fans think he plays well. I thought he was good last week against them when some were saying he was poor but tonight he was.

Agreed. I'm amazed he didn't get booked for his petulance alone.

no real stand outs for me, everyone did their part though I though Matthews did a good job keeping tabs on that Savage, another lad who's made a really good start to the season! :50:

Ledley - did his required job at both ends of the pitch. No-one really stood out in truth but he gets the kudos for the goal and assist - thought it was an accomplished but unspectacular performance by the team although besides one or two scares we defended very well. So much for the plastic pitch and slow defence.

IMO Wanyama is a * for making that challenge. May have (would have seeing as it was one of only 3 or 4 fouls) got off with a warning in the SPL but for me it was a definite yellow offence and thus a definite sending off. He's a key player for us - I hope we're at home first leg.
