Aye, think it's actually worth more for us to keep him. We'll get absolutely * all for him just now and he's on a low wage isn't he?

Purpose of getting rid of him is as good to non-existent as you will get. His current value? * all - everyone and their dog can see he's never fit. Only way to move forward is to "keep hoping for the best" while trying at physio / club level to make some changes that can help him moving forward.

Am I positive? Nope, not really. But you can guarantee if we sold him, he'd end up having 4 years free of injury and turn in to a * wizard while we * away fortunes on Tonev who would likely take over from Forrest as injury prone, combined with Boerrigter!

Neil Mcann reckons a sprint coach would benefit Forrest, He thinks he runs in a bunched up fashion and that causes his muscles to be under unnecessary stress, Something about helping his posture to relax his muscles..

    might work

That'll definitely help his muscle problem, I'm not so sure about him kicking a ball about though :smiley-laughing002:

Although I think McCann has a very valid point on this, surely Celtic will have had him, along with arguably all the team, at a sprint coach at some point. If not, then I think it would be worthwhile Celtic looking into that for Forrest.

I think it was interesting what Neil McCann said after the game and it may be his style of running that might contribute to injuries. There is defo something wrong with constant injuries, especially in his hamstrings

As said we aint gonna be able to get anything for him so no point trying to sell/loan him.
Think the club need to look at different options/specialists and try and get to the bottom of this once and for all. If that takes a year or 2 out so be it (look at Darren Fletcher). In the meantime depending on what sort of salary and length of deal he is on we should offer him a new long term deal.

Had the potential to be a great player, but looks unlikely to happen now.

As said, no point selling him as he will be worth nothing and won't be a top earner.

It's been clear now that he can't be relied on as a starter but may be worthwhile as an impact sub on the rare occassion he is fit.

His run before he pulled up was great. Another glimpse of what this lad could have been.

Has Forrest not got Sciatica? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

He definitely had at some point last season. Not sure about this season though I don't think so.

Agathe had a similarly awkward style. Was he not often out injured too, or am I imagining that?

Find it hard to believe there wouldn't already be a biomechanical analysis on him at Lennoxtown. Pretty basic stuff for a good physio, even more so for a specialist.

Im no science *, but surely putting him in one of them big * picture taking machines could spot weakness in his wee body?

Really needs to ramp it up over the next season, as few injuries as possible, I do appreciate that explosive players are more susceptible to injuries, but his are too frequent and too long. If this is how his body is, and he gets older, it'll take longer to recover and he'll also begin to lose speed.

With that in mind, he really needs to improve his delivery, if he can't shake this glass legs tag, he'll then, even more so, need to remodel his game away from intensive pace. It's a superb attribute to have which he can utilize less often if he expands his repertoire further.

He's really is a quality player, without a doubt, technique is his best route to prolonging his career and ensuring it's a very successful one

I like wee Jimmy, he's the type of player Celtic should have, exciting and can whip anycunt.

On the subject of wee shodders though, much as I like him I say give him til January and all the help/specialist we can give him. If it's not sorted by then, punt him.
