Indeed we shall agree to disagree, as seems to be the norm on a fair variety of Celtic related topics...if you don't like beer then that's the final straw it's time to fight to the death in a neutral venue. :50:

And when there's no bacon or bread in the house? Tell me about it.

Fair enough just I was surprised to see someone pick a lineup without him
But everyone has there preferences but I would have kayal and Vic in the middle due to kayals pressing and Vic just because his class in midfeild was noticeable today when he moved out the back

    Forster
    Matthews, Rogne, Mulgrew, Izaguirre
    Forrest, Brown, Wanyama, Ledley, Commons
    Samaras

Subs: Zaluska, Lustig, K. Wilson, McCourt, Kayal, Stokes, Hooper

Don't want to start Kayal because it's Ramadan and he's fasting, so he might be a little fatigued.

For me, Forster, Matthews, Mulgrew, Izzy, Ledley, Wanyama, Kayal and Hooper are all guarantees to start.

    Forster
    Matthews CB Mulgrew Izzy
    RW Kayal Wanyama Ledley LW
    Hooper

So this leaves the questions of who plays in CB, RW and LW.

For me, our choices of CBs after Mulgrew are all quite terrible, Rogne being the best of the worst, so lets shove him in there.

With that, I feel we have enough to cope defensively. So far this season we haven't been direct enough, so why not Forrest and Commons on the wings?

I'd like us to play 4-2-3-1

We used it to reasonable effect in Madrid last year.

    Something like this:

    Forster

    Matthews K Wilson Mulgrew Izzy

    Brown Ledley

    Forrest Commons Samaras

    Hooper

    No Wanyama?

Also that looks a little lightweight imo. Too many forward players when we are trying to defend a lead.

Wanyama & Kayal would surely fill those anchorman positions?

Could swap Vic for Wilson I guess, but I don't think he is a defender.

If you put him in midfield who do leave out? Plus you have 2 sitting in Brown and Ledley that I would hardly call 'lightweight'.

It's not like the Finns are a team of hulking brutes anyway is it?

We shouldn't be going there to defend anyway, they are hardly Barcelona,

Kayal hasn't played enough and was rotten yesterday and was rightly hooked.

If Brown and Ledley are fit they will play, so who do you leave out?

The personnel could change I guess, but that's the formation I would like to see us take.

I just think 2 CM's away from home is asking for trouble, especially when we don't need to chase the game.

It's basically a midfield 3 though that can be adapted and gives us some width as well.

Our biggest problem on Wednesday was we were far too narrow.
