    love big sammy. But one thing i hate is when he gets beaten of the ball he just stands around like a * with his legs wide and arms flapping for 30 sec

    I think Lenny will have major reservations about playing Izzy. He has never really played or been proven at European level and although Helsinki aren't great there probably better than St.Mirren and think the dependable Ledley will come in at LB.

    Rogne will come in at CB (if fit). Wanyama probably got showed up for not being that natural in defence.

    Kayal (if fit) will certainly come in at CM.

    Broony - rightly or wrongly - will be chosen with the Israeli and Wanyama.

    Forrest out wide. Samaras on the other. I expect a lot of long balls to Samaras because of the pitch and the emphasis on the likes of Brown to be supporting around him.

    Hooper up front. (has to get sharper though)

    I'd expect the line up to be.......

    ...................................Forster...................................

    .....Matthews........Rogne...........Mulgrew.......Ledley.........

    ..................Brown..........Kayal........Wanyama.................

    ....Forrrest..................................................Samaras.......

    ..................................Hooper.......................................

    SUBS. Zaluska, Lustig, Izagurrie, Twardzik, McCourt, Commons, Stokes.

    Nerve-wracking but we'll get the goal that puts us through. 1-1

    I've saw on previous posts that people think we go out of Europe altogether if we are beaten. We don't - we go into the Europa League play-off.

    Still no excuses though. If we can't beat a side who have a 10th of our turnover then games a bogey.

    Seeing Lustig coming on to play center-half toward the end I can see Lenny going:

    Matthews -- Lustig -- Rogne -- Mulgrew
    ---- Brown -- Wanyama -- Ledley -----
    Forrest ------ Hooper ------ Sammy

    If everyone's fit, I'd go ahead and push Izzy forward because he causes problems going forward and would further solidify the left;

    Matthews -- Lustig -- Rogne -- Mulgrew
    Broony -- Wanyama -- Ledley -- Izzy
    -------- Sammy ---- Hooper--------

    The question is.. Do we set out to defend our lead or do we set out to cancel out their away goal? I certainly hope it's the latter because we're very capable of beating them 3-0 on their patch.. We're the better side by a clear distance.

    Do we play another qualifying tie if we get through this game?

    Great idea, and free entry as well! :50:

    * Bless Peter Lawwell! :icon_mrgreen:

    They should do that for every away game this season, infact they should show them on the big screens as well and charge people a fiver to come in. I reckon you could easily get 5 or 6 thousand each time, how much extra cash would that give us a year?

    They done it last season against sion and i think it was £3 to get in and a free pie at half time, although we got beat it was a decent night...drinks are a bit pricey though.

    I am reasonably sure we can get the right result on wednesday, we put in good performances away to Rennes and Udinese in the Europa League last year and both those teams are superior to Helsinki.
