There will be absolutely no excuses if we don't progress to the play-off round. We are the far far better side.

If we get a goal in the first half I think we'll be alright

1-1 will do me but can't see past anything other than a loss, given our record. I know we could and should beat them...I'll say 1-1 for this.

your right the aren't as good as udinese or rennes

the problem is our standards drop or increase depending on who we play in europe

so when we play a side not very well known our players will drop to their level or below

this is what we have become acustomed to in european games

    i wish it wasn't so

if we play that line up we'll be out on our arses far too attacking

i dont rate brown but he can do a hard working shift on the right alongside wanyama ledley kayal or mcgeouch and samaras left

with hooper or commons up front

we need plenty of battlers in this game as it's a cup tie and they will come at us all guns blazing in the first half we need to be strong first and foremost

to many non tacklers like commons shooders could * us right up at the start of one of our most important games of the whole season

Wish we had 2 weeks til the return would allow us to sharpen up a bit more as we only have the aberdeen game and 2 competitive league games would have helped but I think we will get thro C'mon the hoops :icon_mrgreen:

Got to pack the midfield for the return leg. OK, we need an away goal but that can come on the break with Samaras' pace.

We'll concede here, there's almost no doubt about that. We managed to get 2 draws against Udinese & Rennes away last season so we really should be getting something from an inferior side, despite our horrendous away record.

    Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Izzy

    Brown Wanyama Ledley Commons

    Sammy

    Hooper

Think it'll line up close to that (or at least that's what I would like to see). Hooper could end up on the bench, and if that were the case Kayal should be in midfield with Sammy up on his own.

Don't think Hooper should be on the bench mind. He scores important goals and this is a massive match for us.

I would like to see Kayal start but I wouldn't drop Ledley or Commons, and Brown will never be dropped.
    Alternatively to get Kayal in:
    Forster

    Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Izzy

    Kayal Wanyama Ledley

    Brown....................Commons

    Sammy (or Hooper)

1-1 would do for me, but I fear losing 1-0 with them scoring very late in the second half.

I think a clean sheet is our best chance of progressing. I reckon we'll struggle more to score than to keep a clean sheet.

please win this game. Cant stand the swedish sportsites... mocking celtic everyday. Now some people here are saying "Hope we get Celtic in the next round because then we are 100% to go thru to the group stages"..... "Please let us get Celtic and not Anderlecht, Bate and Basel" :47:
