We totally bossed the first half. Commons and Wanyama were excellent. We just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. 41st minute, Mulgrew pinged a free onto the chest of Commons on the edge of the box who took a great touch and lobbed Handanovic. 2nd half we dominated as well but not as much. 80th minute Commons went off injured and we had no more subs so we played the last 10 mins with 10 men. Inter equalised in the 89th minute with quite a lucky goal. We deserved the win but the result isn't really what matters. We totally dominated Inter Milan :50:
Stokes was stretchered off in the first half as well with a twisted ankle.

    1-1

We bossed the match for most of the 90 minutes. Commons scored a peach of a goal from the edge of the 18 yard box just before HT.

We were energetic, the workrate was fantastic and we never gave Inter a second on the ball, closing down and more often than not nicking the ball off of them. Stokes went off injured after 35 mins to be replaced by Bangura.

second half started much as the first finished however we then made some changes. McGeough, Twardzik, Irvine, Paddy came on and it disrupted our flow a bit.

The outstanding Commons then picked up a knock and we had no one to replace him so we seen out the last 10 minutes with 10 men.

Inter scored with pretty much the last kick of the ball.

All in all a very useful workout.

That was so much more encouraging. Good all round performance should put us in good stead for Wednesday night against Helsinki. Hopefully the injuries to Stokes and Commons are nothing serious and they are ok to play Wednesday as well.

Just back from the game..l thought we bossed the game well. Good performance all round but samaras and commons were stand outs for me.

Turnout was poor today even for a friendly, well done to the guys who started the singing, made the atmosphere decent enough.

Did I read that Lustig played at Central Defender today? If so, how did he look???

Highlight for me was Stokesy boy, he looked really up for it. Commons' goal was one beast of a shot. Glad to see wee Irvine got a game, he was great in that Youth Cup final a little while back. Nobody held back, mainly big Vic, who was a total boss in the midfield.

And my *, that bit of skill by Wanyama in the second half, he had me drooling.

He looked ok, however our midfield was so good that the CB's didn't have much to do.

Thanks slaw and sean... sounds a decent run out. Pity we never got the win but would rather it was wed than today.

    Good for him...

With Matthews holding down the RB position, maybe Lustig could be more useful as a Center Back this season.

We really should have won this game, but we can't fault that performance and if we keep it up on Wednesday we'll stroll it.

What was that mate? I missed the 2nd half, typical jammy Italians and typical fecking Celtic conceding so late on! :31::54:

How did we play, and how did the youngsters do, 2nd half?

1st half was a joy to watch, we totally outclassed one of the world's best teams, and I think they were at full strength today as well?

Delighted with Celtic today, performances form Sammy, Ledley, Wanyama and Commons were all top class. Dominated the 1st half, and should have held out for a win, but not too fussed we conceded being down to 10 men.

He went into a 50/50 with an Inter player who slid in. Vic dragged the ball away from him and did a roulette spin past him. Was beautiful.
