Glad to hear it, out of curiosity...out of Swedes, Danes and Norwegians, who do Finnish people generally get on best with or dislike the most? ;)

Haha! With the Swedes we definitely have a hate-love relationship. Sweden is considered our "big brother" so we're always happy to beat them at sports or... at anything. Culturally Finland and Sweden are pretty much the same and personally I like Sweden a lot. Swedish is even the second official language in Finland, which is a major issue for teenage school rebels and populist parties. I think hating the Swedish is sort of accepted in Finland, which is very unfortunate.

About the Danes we don't have much to say and many people seem to forget that we share a border with Norway, too. Estonia is our "little brother" (we mostly go there for cheap liquor) and the neigbour in the east, Russia, is very much disliked due to certain happenings in the 1930's and 1940's.

I read in the Finnish football forum that some HJK fans were trying to buy Union Jacks from some online shop. How big of an insult would that be? ;) I always laugh my * off at this nationalistic LARP that we get with these matches. When Besiktas visited Helsinki two(?) years ago, the HJK fans had some nice "Free Kurdistan" chants prepared. :)

Reading the Helsinki fan's analysis of their squad, his lack of confidence in their right back suggest Samaras will have a massive role to play if we are to win.

My main worry is just the long ball down the middle and corners. Our CH have looked incapable of dealing with that in the past. I assume they are a tall side given the average height in that part of the world.

Yeah but it's cool, we can raise our kilts and through haggis at them.

Bookies have us at about 84% likely to get through this one lads, and only 16% for Helsinki. Am surprised we're such big favourites, thought it'd closer to 70/30. We really should be beating this mob though!

At the end of the day it's 11 men against 11 men. Odds mean nothing, reputation insignificant. It's all about who is hungrier for it and if we play Commons then we should be incredibly hungry for it.

In a way I agree. I imagine we were probably something like 84/16 to get past Sion and look what happened there :54:

Still thousands of tickets left. Particularly in the upper tier.

Better that than going Asda cake bashing. :icon_mrgreen:

It'll be tougher than some imagine but I'm confident we'll go through.

Seems the Helsinki fans wanted to get Celtic.

    First mistake - over confidence.
