I will be very unimpressed if we don't beat this team on both legs.

HJK we should win even though Helsinki are 17 matches into their season, then its play-off time and with a bit of luck, the group stage:celt_2:

I respect the finnish team, but as their fans have said. They are not the same team as last year.

My only concerns are the astroturf (but we played in Moscow and it didnt bother us to much) and the fitness levels of HJK compared to us.

I still think we will spank them at home, 3-0 with a 1-1 away or a 2-1 victory to them.

As said previously, if we lose. We do not deserve to play in the CL.

Hopefully Lennon has learned his lessons from the past 2 Euro qualifiying campains. We need to be fitter, quicker.

Would like to think we're capable of getting past these guys. Vital for a good win at home.

Would think we should beat them on both legs just the fitness issue. 3-0 home and 1-0 away.

That doesn´t apply to southern Finland really. If anything, finnish people generally look up to swedes. Maybe in more northern parts of Finland that might evolve into envy, but in southern Finland there are many places where even the main language spoken is swedish. Needless to say, up north they don´t like Helsinki either :icon_mrgreen:

    All of them.
I dont think we should underestimate HJK. I have watched them on many occasions and tend to be hard to beat at home. This season they have been poor mainly away from home. Demba Savage is a threat if not kept an eye on. Not sure if Rihilati is still there I have not seen him recently. I think the size of the ground plus noise generated may get to them and be there for the taking. 3 or 4 goal advantage will be to much for them to come back. A one nil will be nail biting I tell you hail hail

Anyone underestimating Helsinki is clueless about football. Their home record for starters is superb and have a great goal scoring record recently. They are not an easy opposition so do not expect a straight forward match.

Don't think we should underestimate this team. However, if we get the job done at CP and get a 2-3 goal lead then we shouldn't have a problem.

lenny in paper stating he want league start in june,
why diddnt he take his into his own hands, when league was won. He could sent first team off on holidays as there was nothing too play for. started pre season at start june par euro boys and Olympic ones. but 80 per cent off players could came back in june.
i called for the last year when league was won, we have 2 months training and games under our belt now and prepared for qualifier

we been in far better shape come now. my main worry is we only scored 2 goals so far and with ajax, norwich, inter too come, i doubt we score much against these teams

what worries me more is the sion game was at end august and our league had started and sion was only few games ahead us, we still got hammered by *.

Until it's officially confirmed who we play the tickets won't be on sale.
Contact Celtic ticket office for details on 0871 226 1888 click option 1 then option 2 and they will let you know.

Unfortunately you won´t get a pint (or 0,4 - 0,5 l) for 4 euros in central Helsinki. Normal price is 5,20-6,50 and 6,00-8,00 euros at the bar terraces.

Mursu or any of the guys from Finland we are getting a lot of requests to join our forum from Finland which are having to be denied. Could one of you please state on your own fans forum that we do not accept proxy server ISP's or those from mobile phone ISP's? Thanks.

Would much rather we played the away leg first, our away record in Europe is so bad that anything under a 3 goal lead wouldn't be comfortable. Having said that, their a team who we are more than capable of beating home and away. If we can't beat a team like Helsinki over two legs we don't deserve to play in the champions league, simple as that.

This tie needs to be wrapped up by the end of the first leg! At least a three goal lead to take to finland. Not saying were going to fold over there but it will take a bit of the pressure away. Hopefully Lenny can sort out at least a new CB by this game.
Does anybody know the sort of calibure of the teams we could face in the next round providing we do the business and take care of Helsinki?

That should help you guys out when you´re in Helsinki. The address of the stadium is "Urheilukatu 5".

And beer is so expensive because our government doesn´t want us to drink as much as we do :)
