Yeah it's crazy everyone can see it's a weakness. Puyol is coming to the end of his career and he can't be used in every single game and Pique has been dreadful since 2011 with a few exceptions. Mascherano is probably Barca's best centre back and that isn't his natural position.

Well worth a read for anyone interested in the club, or indeed Spanish football in general.

Although not on a level with Hunter, I'd rank Guillem Balague up there as well. His book on Guardiola was an excellent read.

I think Balague is so-so, have not read any of his books though.
To be honest i am suprised Hunter and Balague get on Sky Sports, generally not the type of people thay have on.
They prefer their sensationalist journalists.

 

Being as it's their coverage of Spanish football their options are somewhat limited when it comes to journalists. There aren't many who speak English too fluently.

Sid Lowe is another excellent journalist when it comes to La Liga.
