Wasn't expecting Diamanti to come on before Di Natale. He's scored less than 10 goals per season for the last two or three years. There's only a couple years that he's scored more than 10 in one season as well. Where as Di Natale is a proper goal-scorer. Strange one.

Thats true but i think he and the rest of the midfield have been bossed at times by italys midfield. They need a period of sustained pressure to let rooney and gerrard do their stuff.

I don't think thats down to Gerrard though, they're outnumbered and in Scott Parkers case outclassed. If you had a midfield of Parker defending and Gerrard and Paul Scholes pulling the strings I think it'd be a vastly different game.
