He's also the only one that spent £15m on Franny Jeffers.

Still always finished in the top 4 on a lower budget than other clubs

    £8million on Franny Jeffers.

    K.Toure £150k
    Campbell £0
    Clichy £0
    A.Song £1m
    Vieira £3.5m
    Gilberto £4m
    Petite £2.5m
    Fabregas £0
    Ljungberg £3m
    Pires £6m
    Overmars £5.5m
    Anelka £500k
    Van Persie £2.75m
    Adebayor £3m

    You cant slag his signings.

£32million worth that were sold for over £150million and most of them were old by the time they left with a few leaving for free.

What about Ferguson, £28m on Veron? £7m on Bebe and never saw him play? £7m Forlan, £7m Kleberson etc..

Wenger has also made other bargain signings like Diaby, Flamini, Lassana Diarra, Eboue, Szczesny, Pennant, Upson, Boa Morte all who cost £2million or less each. Might not be great but still great bargains.

Then theres a lot of his "big" signings Henry £11m, Nasri £15m,

The link I just posted. I'm still slagging him for signing Franny Jeffers for a big fee.

And it's telling all those signings were at least 6-7 years ago.

    The guys a tadger

With all the money they've made from selling players for big profit surely Wenger should use the money to buy players to allow them to challenge for the title but he seems content with 4th every year

They also made good money on Toure and Clichy

Might be a tadger but hes great at spotting and developing players.

For example he would probably never have let go of Forlan, Rossi and Pique like Ferguson did at Man Utd. I cant think of a player he's let go for peanuts as an unwanted whos become a good £15-20million player.

Aside from all the big named players and that too, a lot of decent Championship kinda class or just decent players have come through at Arsenal too Stokes, Lansbury, Frimpong, Emmanuel-Thomas, Jay Bothroyd, Barazite, Nordveit, Bartley, Sidwell, Upson, Merida, Senderos, M.Connolly, David Bentley, Bendtner etc

Can you think of a manager whos signed players good enough to make a team like:

    Lehmann
    Sagna Toure Campbell Clichy
    Vieira Petite
    Fabregas
    Van Persie Henry Anelka

For £26million? He signed those players for as much as Man City spent on James Milner.

I know, I dont like him either and I dislike Arsenal and their fans more than any team in England. But he is a good manager and has done some job there.

    Also:

    Lehmann - 2003
    Sagna - 2007
    Toure - 2002
    Clichy - 2003
    Vieira - 1996
    Petit - 1997
    Fabregas - 2003
    Van Persie - 2004
    Henry - 1999
    Anelka - 1997

He is literally the only manager whose current performances still get judged from what he done in the late 90's early 2000's.

    Arrogant *.

Out of all the teams Celtic have played in Europe only Arsenal under Wenger and Porto under Mourinho have left me feeling sour.

Hamburg as well but they're just *.

You can add Cazorla,Monreal and Laurent Koscielny, who's been the best centre half in the world since 13th March.

This is literally the oddest post I've ever seen on TC. Well done.

Been far more teams in Europe that's beat us than just Arsenal.
