Liverpool havent been in the CL for a few years I dont think and I dont even think they would celebrate if it was them today.

Celebrating about getting into the CL is what youd expect of Newcastle, Everton or Spurs who never/hardly ever get there. Those teams wouldnt celebrate about the Europa League. Only the likes of Norwich, West Brom, West Ham, Swansea and that would celebrate Europa League qualification.

Considering Arsenal's fantastic wealth, fans should be aggrieved they aren't challenging for the title. But in saying that, they are probably the most financially secure club in the EPL.

I was watching it all in a sports bar with all these different screens. The spurs fans in the stadium were all celebrating but the Arsenal game was right in front of us and nothing was happening. There was probably an Arsenal fan in there on the wind up.

Glad Spurs didn't get Champions League. Once again, their fans were lauding it over Chelsea and Arsenal fans all season saying they were definitely getting top 4. They never learn.

You've got to remember that they finished top 4 ahead of their local rivals. That must have played a big part.

Just seen that's already been mentioned actually. They must have been a good 7/8 points behind at one stage?

If Spurs came 4th, they might've kept Bale, strengthened further, and then it would have been a struggle for Arsenal to finish ahead of them in the foreseeable future.

“I grew up as a Blackburn Rovers fan and, like anyone, I wanted to play for the team I supported. Obviously I wanted to make it at Rovers because it was the team I supported and the team my family supported."

That was some goal from Bale, i'll be amazed if he's still with Spurs come the new season.

They should have still treated it as a close call and bad that they almost dropped out the top 4 to a smaller club. Not an achievement of getting 4th. Do you think if in next seasons CL we need to win and hope another team dont to get 3rd place and get into the Europa League that we will celebrate if we do it? no chance.

Borussia Dortmund's 2011-12 wage bill of £68m would have been 8th highest in Premier League, just under #avfc (£134m less than #mcfc).

just seen this and if true that is some going for dortmund, and just shows how much the tv money in england helps even the worst teams,

Most people tipped Tottenham to finish 4th. The amount Arsenal have spent contrasts other English Prem teams. It was an achievement, in my opinion.

To be fair, Arsenal's wage bill is a lot higher than Tottenhams.

    A very minor achievement.

Not one to celebrate like fricking Jesus had returned.
