We would have a playoff at a neutral venue in that instance, a bit silly that head-to-head record doesn't come into it.

Apparently there is a play-off for 3rd if this happens.

Not really. Head-to-head doesn't consider the fact that both of Chelsea's wins over Arsenal were controversial this season. Imo should go by Away form.

Controversial? Both? Lol, what bosh, there was nothing controversial about our away win.

At the Emirates we beat them with two legitimate goals, the first a product of woeful Arsenal defending and the second a product of an Arsenal foul that correctly resulted in a free kick.

I'd like to see the playoff thing. Firstly, because I've never seen it before and it will be exciting.

Secondly, because I was having an argument with someone about 10 years ago who said it would just go by alphabetical order in a situation like this. I was like, "Are you * kidding me? Teams could just change their name" but he was adamant so I can be proved right as his solution was * stupid.

    Alphabetical order, ridiculous! :smiley-laughing002:

Apparently Wembley is off the cards as it is all booked up, so I wonder where they would play it.

    Twickers?

Surely White Hart Lane wouldn't be appropriate due to the need for a 50:50 crowd split. Perhaps they would give Stratford a go, for the sake of practice if anything.

I don't think either club would be keen on a venue outside of London, makes travelling expensive for the fans.

    Is the Olympic stadium ready?

You'd need at least a 40,000 stadium so I'd say Villa Park. They used to always host the FA Cup Semi Finals.

    Who knows.

I really like the idea of Twickers, though, but can't see the RFU letting it happen. :smiley-laughing002:

Good lineup, tickets are always cheap for the two matches on one day, I went to the one when Oldco were involved (I lived near the Emirates then) and the one when we played in it (Because we were in it).

Also I wonder if Arsenal arrange this every year just so they can have some sort of title winning celebration :smiley-laughing002:

A bit odd to see an English team inviting Galatasaray to a friendly tournament, will be interesting to see what their fans get up to.

Especially Arsenal considering all the trouble between them when they played each other in the Uefa Cup final

At Stamford Bridge, first goal results from a clear foul on Conquelin. Second goal Ramirez dives for the pen.

At the Emirates, Oscar should've been sent off first half. Already booked kicked out at Arteta and Gibbs.

    Dives? :smiley-laughing002:

Interesting interpretation, it sounds as if you're clutching at straws mate.

At the end of the day I don't think this will be an issue, we'll beat Everton and wrap up third. Best thing for all concerned really, it would be an convenient and rather trivial fixture for both clubs involved.

Best of luck for the final day anyway, if you're an Arsenal follower, that is.

Maybe dive is harsh but he stepped into Szcensy rather than the other way round.Wasn't a foul.
