Liverpool will be back. If they spent that £35m on quality they could challenge top 4.. But instead they went for Carroll.

For those who are in love.....
Liverpool are huge and always will be even if they didn't win anything in the next 20 years they would still be massive that is a fact, there history,uk fan base and worldwide fan base will always be massive aswell and there uk local support has always been loyal...

I don't get any hate towards Liverpool,a lot of good people who know there football and place is abit similar to Glasgow with there humour, never forget ronnie Morans testimonial me,young brother, mum and dad didn't have a hotel booked and a bin man drove us around for about 3 hours to make sure we got somewhere Which we did in the end,was total class and was a Liverpool fan....
Since then always stuck up for the scousers in general because of the ones I've met up there, through work or whatever and mainly that day because of the bin man...
All ive known personally are Liverpool through and through and go everywhere no matter how * there doing!

If they had a 70,000 stadium it would be filled every other week, reason there half * is the millions and millions wasted on average players, downing,Henderson,Carroll 75 million straight away...
With just that money there they should be able to spend and compete within the top 4

Huge club. Spunked a ton of money on crap players. Won't be challenging for the league in the any time soon.

Man Utd are now the biggest club in Britain and have been for a while and their fan base is bigger. Liverpool are a big club and they did win the biggest prize in club football not that long a go. So I can understand their mentality. It's Tottenham and Newcastle fans that are the worst for thinking they are a huge clubs.

Have never really liked them but they are a big club with a constant big support who are unable to compete with the finances of Chelsea, Man City and United. Arsenal are in the same boat.

Wait till the owners of Man City and Chelsea get fed up playing with their toys and these two will drop like a ton of bricks and you'll see how big a crowd they attract.

I have always regarded Liverpool a big club and i always have felt that Celtic and Liverpool had an affinty with each other and Supporters

I always remember as a boy going to the first game Liverpool played after Hillsborough Disaster and the YNWA been a sea off green and red and my old man had tears running down his cheeks

Surprised theres a few Liverpool Haters on here

Dont get me wrong When big john hartson scored the screamer on route to Seville i was never happier beating them but i have always liked LFC

Anyone who doesn't regard Liverpool as a big club is clearly deluded.

5 European cups and up until 4 years ago had the most league titles in England.

There are always a few well known clubs before everyone else, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and I certainly believe Liverpool is one of that category.

As there's no League 1 thread, Brentford v Swindon is about to go to extra-time in the League 1 play-off semi-final.

3-3 after Swindon scored in the 95th minute.

On Sky Sports 1, good game, lots of excitement and the possibility of penalties.

So they need to spend top dollar on a big 60 thousand plus stadium and sign the creme dela creme of the premiership or world football to be a big club? Take your head out your * pal...!

Listen the teams that think they are big clubs are people like Newcastle if your really talking about winning * all then this is your club what makes them big... A 50 k stadium and a big fan base don't think so!

Chelsea are another up till recentley successful on the basis of money last few years would never even put them
    In top 10!

If your talking about not winning things or winning things years ago doesn't class yous as a big club I don't agree. I still regard a team like
Leeds a big club... As a whole but not right now

A team with history and not just in recen years for me are big clubs!

Plus your arrogance of calling Liverpool stuck in the 70s 80s maybe we should stop talking about 67...

I think you forget they won in Istanbul won the fa cup against west ham and league cup recentley! Also the treble in 2001 but aye they are still living king the 70s 80s

Not convinced by this. There are obviously plenty of Utd fans in Manchester.I have no particular preference for either Utd or Liverpool but if Liverpool were suddenly to become the top team in the Mickey Mouse EPL then Liverpool would probably get a load more fans from outside of Liverpool but that wouldn't make them any more or any less of a big team.

    5 European Cups.

If you are going on about comparing United and Liverpool then United need to beat that tally to be considered historically the greatest club in England.

    Ah now come on.

Surely any treble has to include your own league championship ? I think Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal fans would rather win the Champions League or the League title than that treble.
