Id say he was, I like Osman but he's not creative enough, doesnt hold the ball well enough or get about the pitch enough.

Coutinho may become better than Maloney but currently Maloney is easily better. Coutinho has no defensive awareness in comparison to Maloney who is always working back in his own half and tracking players. Id have Maloney in my team easy.

I always felt Maloney was better than McGeady.

Maloney's form for the last 2 seasons is yet another argument against EPL fanboys who ignorantly and incorrectly think Celtic are *.

A bench player leaves Celtic and becomes his team's best player and one of the best midfielders in the league.

Statistically out all the wingers/playmakers in the Premiership

Maloney creates the 16th most chances per game(Silva best), he is the 2nd most accurate passer of a ball(Nasri best), he has the 4th most assists(Mata best) and he makes the 8th most passes per game(Cazorla best).

Which makes him statistically the 5th best playmaker in England behind Mata, Silva, Cazorla and Nasri ahead of the rest Bale, Hazard, Valencia, Young etc excellent for someone playing for Wigan considering all the other best play for just the top about 8 teams. Guys like N'Zogbia, Ben Arfa, Hernandez, Sessegnon, A.Johnson, Snodgrass and other lower half players arent near him.

Not bad to think we produced this player.

Steve Bould swearing like a madman at the Arsenal game, could see and hear him. I await his ban....

Bale's not a playmaker, I think he's scored one or two more goals than Maloney. Also the other top talents you listed play in a rotation system and they don't carry the burden of production. He's talented, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Unless you're saying all Celtic fans are Man U fans then you're point is mute.

Roy Keane has admitted he deliberately tried/did injure the guy...he should've been taken to court.

Keanes was more of an assault than anything. I'd say a tackle is where someone goes in to try and win the ball. Keane had no intention of winning the ball, he wanted to injure that guy, and do it as badly as he could. It was far, far more dangerous than what Suarez did.

Good wins for Villa and Wigan, Villa surely safe now and Wigan have a chance of staying up, still think they'll go down though

Well then nor do Man Utd.

But that's irrelevant, I was responding your post/jibe about a lack of atmosphere.

Think this is the year Wigan go down. Can't see them winning another 2/3 games.

Just looked at their last 3 games Swansea and Aston Villa at home and Arsenal away.

Great chance for 6 points in the two home games.

1.)Nowhere in there does it say we'll knock it back.

2.) So what? The Europa League is a massive pain. Thursday and sunday matches, matches at 6PM on thursdays. there are some good teams in it, but it really is just an annoyance.

It's good having european competitions but it is annoying. Nothing wrong with knocking it back, though Liverpool are synonymous with european footy

    Current league table

Remaining fixtures below. I have included up to Stokes fixtures, due to Wigan having the outside chance of getting 6 points. Some of the clubs above such as Norwich have not been in good form of late and goal difference could come into it. Some of the fixtures means something to both at the bottom and at the top
