tbh 5m is actually a decent price for a player who is not a regular starter i'm just gutted because of 7 and 8 million figures thats been floating around

As Lenny has said, our policy for the past 2 or 3 years has been to sell a player to raise funds...

If we use the funds brought in from selling Ki top invest in a ST and CB (and I'd imagine Henricksen too) then perhaps the European cash from this season, will help us to ensure we DON'T need to do it again next season, as I really don't fancy having to sell Wanyama, Hooper or Kayal next summer!!!

If this is a means to an end then I'll take it!!!

Good luck to Ki and please *, let's bring the new faces in very quickly!!!

    Hail Hail

A lot of the fees bandied around in the press are total speculation. Don't take it as red just because sky sports report it to be true.

If it is only 5 million though, we've undersold ourselves badly.

Cant see Lenny getting much of the money to reinvest in the team tbh.

The Rubin manager denied the reports of 6 million. Did everyone miss this?

I stand corrected, in which case, I can only hope that someone is very wrong about the fee involved here, or that, as I've said above, there's something in the region of a 30% sell on fee. Ki will play better in the EPL than he did in the SPL as he'll have more space, bigger pitches, and one good season could hopefully see him move on again for £15/20 million. Long term, we could have done some good business, but it's a bit disapointing at the minute, as we know Swansea have at least £15million in the kitty

If it ends up being over 6.5 or more in total, I’ll be fine with it.

But 5M up front alone would be really *.

Remember with Hooiveld we got the extra bit of money for them being promoted? I wouldn't be surprised if there's an extra 1-2 million for Swansea staying up this year

Lenny has already said we won't sign anyone unless we make it into the CL. Lets just wait and see how tomorrow night goes.

Would expect there will be addons on top of the £5m. Also thought we might have held onto him a wee while longer to see if Arsenal or A Madrid were genuinely interested.

Any way. gOOd luck to him.

Bye bye Ki. I won't really miss him, so much talent, but lack of drive to make the best use of it and impose himself in games.

Had we sold at the start of last season we’d have got 8M without much hesitation.

Ki was always going to be ofski I'm just surprised it was to Swansea where he will never experience playing in Europe.

Oh well good luck to Ki and we'll just have to get on with the business of getting the two key positions filled. That may well mean qualifying first but I'd hope to see at least one new face in before the home leg. Time will tell.

I also wouldn't read too much into Lenny saying he may not be getting any of the Ki money as that would let other clubs feel we can afford to pay more.
