Happy about this, but I wished the game was in the afternoon. Catching the train back to Brussels will be tight.

Would love to go this. Not been out the UK for a game in years, home and away games cost enough as it is. Going to go abroad for a game this year but I think I'll go to one of the qualifiers away.

I always enjoy pre-season. Sure this one will be no different, looking forward to it.

Booked a flight out there and a bus back. Bus is only 25 quid from London to Amsterdam, same going back the ways. Overnight an aw.

I am planning on taking the train into Duivendrecht (like many other people I guess). Maybe a daft question for only a friendly game, but is it safe to wear colours (maybe I am going on my own and I do not really know the do's and don'ts with respect to football in Amsterdam)?

How many Celtic fans do you think will go? I'm so buzzing for this, but would hate to waste my very limited funds on a game where only a few hundred Celtic fans go. I'd love it to be like Norwich abroad lol.

With Easyjet it's only £80 for return flights. Pretty unreal.

You'll be safe enough wearing colours as long as you don't act like an idiot. In fact, if they hear you speaking Dutch they'll probably indulge in a bit of friendly banter. If you're walking from Duivendrecht (or taking the metro 1 stop to Strandvliet/ArenA ) you're on the right side for the visiting supporters part of the stadium. To be on the safe side, I'd avoid the Station Bijmer side when the Ajax "F" side arrive near kick-off.

When Ajax came to parkhead for a friendly years ago their fans were singing Celtic.songs. I can't see why there would be any trouble.

Cheers mate. That is what I expected. Definetely Duivendrecht station then.

I will of course not act like an idiot and since I speak Dutch, that might be a good thing as well. :50:
