Thommo parts company with Celtic

  1. Just because they've done mistakes in the past doesn't mean they're guaranteed to have made a mistake again though pal.

  2. Well he's a manager so some I guess!

  3. Would've loved for him to carry on helping bring success to the Club,he's been pretty good at that throughout the years, and I will remain thankful regardless of this situation.

    Best of luck Thommo!

  4. Probably didn't go to the meeting because they are both hot heads and didn't want to damage their personal relationship (if it is damaged).
It's a lot easier to hang up a phone call if it gets a bit out of hand and have a cooling of period.
Not what we need right now, but I'm optimistic this will be sorted out amibilcy.
    Good luck Alan!

  5. Thats because people are even quicker to slag the board off ...back on topic now please

  6. His lifestyle choice is well known (rumoured) in Glasgow. I'm not that surprised tbh

  7. My only real concern is Thommo himself, if it is drink related, then sacking him will not help that aspect whatsoever, there's a big chance his drinking problem could get even worse.

  8. Good call

  9. I am very sure there is a good reason for this.
I dont think the decision would have been made after a little fall out.
likleyhood is, hes been a naughty fella or hes off to villa....
like thommo and good luck to him!

  10. He will bring in an experienced no.2

  11. Mjallby is the number 2 surely ?, Thompson was a first team coach.

  12. Just a play on names...first team coach or number 2..not sure which is the more demanding role....first team coach I reckon. Experience required.

  13. I remember similar with Brian Scott actually

  14. Scott was just the physio though. Still doing well as one too

  15. I'm a manager too, am I qualified?, the point of my response was to emphasise that he is still new to coaching and maybe not the best option atm.

  16. Whatever the reason Iam sure it was not taken lightly, all the best Tommo, remember the Celtic family is forever !!

  17. Agreed. We shouldn't be considering a less experienced coach than Lennon and Mjallby imo

  18. Let Larsson work his way up as a manager, get the experience needed and then bring him in as manager, not a coach.

Clarke is definitely the best candidate atm but don't know how realistic that is when there'll be plenty of offers elsewhere for him.

Yeah, I do realise that, didn't think I needed to put the fact that he was a physio in, I just remember it was similarly controversial/shocking/sudden.
