There was a paragraph near the end, which contained a rather lame attempt at a joke about the Thai Tims.

A joke which was clearly offensive (going by this new legislation anyway)

However, it has since been removed.

Lawwell merely pointed out that under new legislation it could be deemed offensive and therefore it had to go.

He "jokingly" asked if any of the Thai Tims had "stitched any of the boots or jersey's that the Celtic players were wearing on Thursday". In other words suggesting they were part of child labour.

No wonder comedy is so * nowadays. Everyone is offended by everything.

The one that springs to mind is the one Frankie Boyle made about that British swimmer. It's his * job. Good on him for not apologising.

There's a difference between a 'journalist' making the joke and a 'comedian'.

Tam Cowan, in no way, can be called a 'comedian'.

The joke is tasteless, but not particularly offensive. However, Cowan is a * and if this goes one step towards getting this no mark media person of our radar then good.

He is a * who is constantly rattling on about the faults of R*****s (ia) and Celtic, all the while ignoring the racist and vile sectarian element of the club that he purports to follow.

    Wankenstein.

    * - would hate to go to a Comedy Club with some of you lot!

Cowan is a fat pussbag - but as a lover of slightly distasteful jokes, it was mildly amusing.

Can I tell you what perplexes me about this whole thing. This was in the paper on the 4/5 of May. No one gave it a second glance.

Suddenly some guy on Twitter picks up on it and we've all to be offended by it?

As Padmill says it was actually quite a witty thing to come up with and I honestly don't think anyone was deeply offended by it.

He apologised in the DR and said it wasn't meant for offence, also made a donation to the GCF. Good on him.

It's quite funny we threatened police action. Afterall, we can get the jail for 'offensive' behaviour in regards to football. Why not journos?
