Was just wondering if there was any players that have or are still playing in the SPL at the minute that you wouldv liked to have seen at Celtic or come to Celtic in the future (if they are still playing in the SPL the now that is).

For me I always wanted Mark De Vries to come to Celtic when he was Hearts. Always thought he wouldv been a great striker for us, good goalscorer & had a good physical presence & good in the air aswel, for me Celtic missed out on a good striker, even when he went to Dundee Utd he still looked decent, wouldv been a better option than Chris Killen anyway I thought..

Anyway what player do you think Celtic missed out on & why?

Aye, can remember de Vries terrorising us for about a season and a half.

For some reason I can't remember off the top of my head who would have been good for us, but I think that I'd have liked to have seen us sign the young English winger that was on loan from Liverpool at Dunfermline a couple of seasons ago - Adam Hamill I think his name was.....looked like we could have turned him into a great player. Think he's at Barnsley or something now.

Would also have liked us to have taken a punt on Rob Jones when he was at Hibs.

Wasn't the greatest technical footballer, but at about 6 '7, he was/is a very dominant figure of a man.

Captain of Sheffield Wednesday now, and just won promotion.

I always liked that wee speedy Hibs fellow, Merouane Zemmama. Couldn't even tell you for sure if he's even there or not anymore, but I remember he used to cause problems in the SPL quite regularly. Would have been a useful squad player for us.

    McCarthy, Stephen Fletcher.

Really wanted Kevin Thompson and Danny Grainger when they were younger as well. Gobsmacked at how bollocks Graingers turned out. He looked like a better version of Charlie Mulgrew when he was younger.

As much as I hate to say it, Rudi Skacel would also be a decent SPL striker for us. He never fails to cause us problems, even though he is a *, playing for a team full of *, who's supporters also happen to be huge, ugly *.

There's no denying that he has ability though. He'd definitely play third fiddle to Stokes, Hooper and maybe even Samaras, but he'd be a good option to have in the squad.

Steven Fletcher as we bid 1million and it was knocked back and they wouldnt pay out the money required. Look at him now, I wouldnt be surprised to see him go for 15mill in the premiership.

Did we not get the opportunity to sign Skacel from Marseille before he went to Hearts originally?

Honestly couldn't tell you mate. I wasn't even sure where Hearts got him from in the first place, but as much as I hate the *, they pulled off a fine bit of business getting him to come here.

I always rated Buaben and Gomes, they were terrific in Dundee UTDs midfield.

    At Wolves now.

Craig Gordon would have been a magnificent signing, bearing in mind Artur was always going to leave at some point. I also always thought Colin Cameron was a good wee player. Ended up going to Wolves and doing well but I don't really know how he would have fitted into Martin O'Neill's side.
