Cardiff City Rebrand

Discussion in 'World Football' started by Ammanvalleyjack, May 8, 2012.

So colour of kit and badge are ok to change but no way do you change the name?? What's the difference?!

  1. No-one wanted any of it, but it was the lesser of two evils, change colour and crest (Not too bothered about the crest, most clubs crests change) or go into administration. Nobody has agreed to this because they want prem football that badly, people have gone along with it so theres still a club there to support.

We all know that when this absolute clown has left the club, we will revert back to blue. Ideally, we get promoted and he * off, and we still have the premiership money to help us survive while we find new investors.

  2. cardiff are a sheep * * of a club, they sold their soul a long time ago

    fans are *

hated them since that friendly back in strachans time

  3. You haven't got a clue, very stupid of you to tar every fan of a club with the same brush. Ignorant and childish in fact.

  4. I actually like Cardiff, hope they hold their own when they go up.

  5. Cardiff always seem to be at the top, then fall to the playoffs and get beat

  6. * Cardiff, it's about teams who get promoted on merit, not just throwing money at it a la QPR.

They've been knocking on the door but were never good enough, now that they've spent they are.

Their fans are overly preoccupied with hooligans, or casuals as a lot of them say, and for grown men to be doing that, well it's quite sad imo.

Lived in Bristol, met a lot Cardiff fans, young and old, some are alright but more than the average number of dickheads.

  7. I have zero respect for Cardiff & their fans. It's hilarious and pathetic the way they've just bent over and let themselves get * up the * by some total random rich *.
If anyone even dared changing anything about Celtic they would get * killed before they could kill the history of the club.
Thank * i don't support a blue club! The huns and their 140 year history died, Cardiff have sold off their soul and 100 year tradition like a bunch of footy *, Inter Milan & Chelsea are racist *...
Blue is not the way to be!

  8. Mon the Swansea

  9. scum scum scum scum

  10. Cardiff Dragons that sounds awesome, also red and black is awesome. I think the re-branding has been brilliant. No one gave a * about them before hand, now they seem respectable.

That whole "blue birds" nonsense made them seem like right fannies, sort of like weird hippies that nick name for their club.

  11. Don't really know any Cardiff fans so I am indifferent on their character. If the colors officially become Black and Red I welcome them to partner with DC United!!

  12. What is the reason for the changes?

Is Cardiff Dragons going to find you more supporters or make you more appealing?

Is he looking to buy Chinese fans with this or is there a point I'm missing?

If it was our club I'd be going mental.

  13. It's their tradition. It's like them going to us "hoops?, looks gay as *. What's wrong with stripes and who cares if they're purple".

    We'd be up in arms.

Cardiff Dragons sounds awesome if you're American, I hate it. Sounds borderline pathetic.

  14. Sounds like a name for EIHL in the UK.

  15. Sad to label a whole clubs support, i've met loads of celtic fans who are utter trampy, junky *, and plenty of rangers fans who are sound. Makes no difference to me. Need to climb out of your hole you sad little man

  16. Comments like this which are ridiculous, by commenting this way it shows me you clearly have no idea of what is going on down here, so would probably be better off keeping your mouth shut.

The 2 options we had, were wearing red or going into administration.. No other alternative, of course it wouldnt happen to celtic as we have enough supporters to potentially force a takeover and enough A-list fans to come through if the club was going bust - this wouldnt happen at Cardiff.

So either having no club, or turning the shirt red for a few years in order to survive, which would you prefer?

  17. To be fair mate Cardiff have hardly broken the bank in their spending. They have bought players well within the budget of a championship team and done extremely well this season after coming so close. They have a great youth system and lost some good players for pennies, ledley and matthews included. They deserve a bit of success after being a selling club for so long. Its not like they are going out and paying mental wages for a player that is too good for them. Qpr hardly did that either until this season and look at them now. When they were in the championship their squad was championship standard. The only major signings being taraabt and faurlin. Blackburn spent Daft money, more Daft than cardiff or qpr in the championship and they are still *. I feel bad for the fans for the rebranding, but the success is going to make them forget about it.

  18. Oh how you 'Swansea Bhoyo's' make me laugh!Do you still hold your meetings in the phone box near the Mumbles? Have you made double figures yet? If I were you lot I'd be more concerned about the Union Flags and * salutes at Swansea games than jumping on the Jack Bandwagon.Never heard you mention Swansea F.C. once, but of course it's all different now,eh? No wonder there's so much aggro in South Wales with double headers like you lot about.Support the Celtic-or * off.
