Bielsa has to be first choice....BUT!.....Klopp wouldnt be a bad option if Bielsa didnt want it :50:

Bielsa is decent, but his propensity for playing MF-ers and shorties in defense worries me. He did it with Chile(defense trio Medel, Jara, Ponce) and At. B. He has to take Amorebieta and Llorente with him if he wants to make a strong Barcelona.

Barcelona are already strong....but yes they do need something else for next season....

but you were saying about a small defence at Bilbao?

    RB - Iraola - 6'0"
    LB - Aurtenetxe - 6'0"
    CB - Amorebieta - 6'4"
    CB - Martinez - 6'3"
    DM - Iturraspe - 6'2"

    so hardly short

I thought Martinez was far shorter? I'm basing my assumptions on the height stated in PES '11.

He's definitely off now, after telling his players he's gone earlier this morning.

Fair enough. I checked, and you're right. Anyway, Barcelona need tall players like Rangers need cash. Bielsa might opt for buying some. But a German/Italian manager WILL do it. Chelsea would not be able to shut up shop just like that if a tall monster was patrolling the box, looking for every cross.

the thing is, Barca will look for someone who will continue the passing philosophy and trust in youths....Bielsa WILL do that....we have to remember that only 2 weeks ago Barca we're looking like they could get 2 CL's in a row and maybe * the league title....yeah theyve had a bad couple of weeks, but you dont become a bad team in 2 weeks and the passing Philosophy works!.

you just have to look at their recent success and Athletic Bilbaos success in Europe this season to see that

Black bold is fine. Red has to be modified, or toned down. Or else their decline will continue. Not every player in the first 11 should be a top-class passer. Barcelona must realise this. In Scotland, coaches are trying to make all the youth players into butchers or physical monsters- or so people here say, at least. That is one bad extreme. Barca is the other extreme. Almost as equally bad.

it doesnt need to be modified or toned as a plan A.....but they do need a plan B, which would involve it being toned down, but even if its toned down, you still wont see many long punts from Barca

Passing is drummed into their brain

Not so much long punts, but crosses from the wide players high into the penalty box.

if they buy Llorente and put a CB, like Pique up that could be hugely effective :50:

    Bielsa.

The more I have had time to think about Andre Villas-Boas. The more I have like the idea of him managing the team.

There is another side of the story...how successfully would Josep manage a different team?

its hard to say....i would say he needs time, but Bielsa has changed Athletic so quickly....so maybe Pep could too, although Bielsa has all the tools at the ready

if pep went to say...a Man Utd, or a Chelsea, he'd need time to stamp his authority all over the team

i think he'll do quite well though, his influence at Barca is underrated by some

In EPL he'd fail, except at Arsenal. Italy or some other Primera club...that's his place.

think its harsh to say he'd fail, depends what signings he made, maybe he'd buy players suited to the league?

but even then, players come from spain like Aguero, Silva, Toure and Mata have all had a good impact
