Don't think AVB could handle the pressure and also the mind games with his mentor " the interpreter", Luis Enrique hasn't set the wind on fire at Roman.
Biesla would be my choice along with taking Martinez and llorente with him

I hope Pep gets his head sorted and does a U-turn.

Apparently he's been offered unlimited funds next season to try and persuade him to stay.

    Cruyff time?

I see Puyol is also being suggested but I still think he'll still be a player next year.

Barcelona probably don't even need a manager. They play the same way 99/100 games, the players could probably decide amongst themselves who they'd like signed and what the team will be and be good enough to win anything and beat anyone they played :56:

Most important thing for them would be a manager who wouldnt change or * things up too much.

A real shame for football this. This season has been poor for them, but no manager should feel under pressure after 3 league titles, 2 (probably) domestic cups, 2 Champions leagues, 2 CL semi finals, 2 Euro Super cups and 2 World Club cups in 4 years. He's put together arguably the greatest side of all time, certainly the best and most entertaining club side I've ever seen, and he hasn't exactly torn the team apart and built a team of multi million pound superstars. The mainstays of that team have always been there. That's how it should be done.

the reason they play that way all the time is cause pep tells them to, so of course they need a manager

I'm sure Messi would appreciate having a fellow Argentinian, Biesla, at the club, but he's quite a unique character. Not sure whether he'd move.

Not sure Bielsa is the answer despite all the man love for him.

What did he do with Argentina in 6 years? With some quality talent as well.

Cruyff is the answer or just keeping Pep. Can't help but think this is just a diversion to take focus off two disappointing results.

Guardiola has always stated he wants a break from football in the near future. It was going to be this season or next.
It will be sad to see him go as I think he could have done a Fergie at Barca and stayed for a very long time and went on to be the most successful manager of all time.

I think he needs to go and develop other methods to his game. He did inherit one * of a team in Barcelona and didn't need to do much. He's brought through a good few youngsters in his time, where he knew from coaching the youth set-up. But I have my doubts in how he would do in a team he needs to build from scratch.

good luck to him though, and I hope he can return to Catalan at some point in his career.

Surprised one Alistair McCoist hasn't been given a mention, considering how fine a job he has done with one hand tied behind his back, and under such considerable stress :bbpd:

Unless Guardiola changes his mind last minute, Barcelona will on Friday announce the coach will leave the club. [catalunya radio]

So we'll have our answer by about 12 tomorrow.

I agree to a certain extent but when Barca's intricate style of play dosen't pay dividends then there has to be a plan b or an alternative approach.

Whoever inherits this current Barca team will be a very, very lucky man. The club may not have the riches of, say Man City, but the infrastructure that is in place is unreal, not to mention having talents like Messi at the club for the future.

A new manager with a more balanced strategy and a plan B would mean a dangerous Barcelona is coming next season. Someone from Germany would do Barca a world of good. Jürgen Klopp anyone?
