It's only widespread if you live in the mind of someone who likes to think it is..

Never been caught in the middle of an Orange Walk have you? State sponsored bigotry.

I know people who have been knocked backfrom jobs, due to being a 'Taig' * just a couple of years ago my dad got told at a golf club that he was the wrong type for there when pointing towards a picture of the Queen on the wall.

Like I said my mate got stabbed by one of these cretins for wearing rosary beads. i got a tanking off of a massive crowd of men when I was 15 for wearing a Celtic top on the wrong day in July.

Our Government spends money for them to march our streets shouting there bigotry.

If you've not witnessed the blatant sectariasm in Scottish society your heads either up uour * or you've lived a very sheltered life.

To suggest it doesn't exist in society is just ridiculous. There has barely been a full passing of a generation since it was common to see 'Catholic's need not apply'. Of course it is still there. It'd be like trying to argue that racism no longer exists.

If you go to a celtic themed golf club as a hun you'll get told you the wrong type for being there, while being pointed towards a picture of the pope.. or do these not exist?? Things happen if your in the worng place at the wrong time.. people can be rangers fans and get stabbed for having a king billy tattoo just as much as we can get stabbed for wearing rosary beads... incidents happen in your hardly get any trouble between celtic and rangers fans any more, And you don't get knocked back from a job for being catholic any more So I don't know how dated these story's are.

We sing Ira songs most games ffs, songs in support of sworn enemy's of the state we live in. why are we alloed to do this if it's such an anti catholic country?

not officially. Know a few friends who have been asked what school they attended during interviews recently though. I'll be honest, do Celtic-themed Golf clubs even exist? Of course Rangers fans have also being victimised in a bigoted manner - who said that they hadn't?

also we aren't allowed to sing IRA songs?

    * knows if they exist or not, Was just making a point:56:

Rangers fans can come up with story's where they feel victimised so can celtic fans.. That's the point. We also have sung songs celebrating the Ira at every game since it was supposedly banned by this new law...

I think it's a crock that they're allowed to walk but, I don't see how allowing a protestant walk to march is an indication of bigotry towards catholics.....

I'm sure Rangers fans have been victim to bigoted abuse in the past. The songs aren't sectarian, they aren't bigoted and they haven't all been banned by the new law. The Orange order isn't a Protestant walk though mate. Not every Protestant is an orangeman. The Orange Order is, by it's own admission and rules, an anti-Catholic organisation. They march to celebrate the deaths of Catholic.

Have you heard the songs they sing? Are you trying to say they aren't anti-Catholic? It's what the Orange Order are for * sake, an anti atholic organisation.

If you believe bigotry and sectarianism does not exist in Scottish society You are honestly either living under a rock or have had a very sheltered life.

It's a bit more involved than just a protestant march. The O.O are supremacists, and suppress those not of Protestant faith. Which to me makes them a bigoted and sectarian based organisation.

I'm guessing you've have never seen or heard a orange walk some of the stuff they come away with is * shocking. it would be like the american government allowing the kkk or these white power groups to have marches on the streets how you can't see that as sectarian is beyond me

Clearly if you believe the Orange Order isn't anti-Catholic! They actually pride themselves upon it.

Then your view is wrong, there's is a massive problem with bigotry in Scotland. Look at the figures to back it up, it's a fact. The biggest majority of sectarian attacks are commited against Catholics in this country. Despite being a minority in the country.

Is that right? Does that not indicate a problem to you?

Can you see Lenny say we were wrong but please treat us fairly , Never and that is why he wont be accepted by a large portion of the Celtic support including myself as the guy has no dignity . This season I thought he had turned the corner and was begining to think maybe he is not that bad then he comes back to his petulant best he really does give gingers a bad name .

other instances are the 2 recent lennon court cases how a jury never found that boy guilty of sectarian assault is * beyond me and the same goes for the charges on the bombers being dropped to basically gbh. any right minded individual looking at these things knows fine well what motivated these attacks and how serious these attacks were yet in scotland it looks like a * joke
