    The main italian newspaper (Corriere della Sera) report the fact that Real Madrid, in order to proceed on the project to build a big touristic unit in th arabic island of Rais Al Khaimah, a part of United Arab Emirates.

    The official reason is to avoid to disturb most of popolation who are, of course, muslim.

    I think it's just ridicolous:
    the symbol is part of your history, and of yourself, simply.
    If someone don't accept your symbol, don't accept yourself too.

    What else can we expect from Real Madrid about money ??

    The official site and shirt from the weekend both had the 'cross' on the crown of their badge so not sure where this has come from. People just nit picking IMO

    - Edit: on the actual thread topic, why has the cross been omitted, surely the people who have asked for it to be removed aren't offended by it? Surely no?
    And if they are, why work with an organisation that offends you. I guess just for the cashdollahs?

    This is concerning the resort they're building in the middle-east. I would imagine it means they'll remove the cross from every badge the club has on display there.

    I remember Inter Milan played a Champions League match in Turkey wearing their old white and red away with a cross on the front and Muslims in Turkey were going mad about it!
