Rangers would have beaten any team in the SPL the way they played today, not just Celtic. They were hungrier and desperate to give the fans something. We should have matched that desire but we didn't. However, you're being naive if you think we shouldn't be affording Rangers any respect in a football sense just because they have been poor of late. They were always going to be trying for their lives against us given recent home results and events off the park.

Your comments appear ridiculous when you look back at the position we were in earlier in the season and how the team manager to hold their nerve, cope with the pressure and turn things around. Not only that but they also showed that they can do that whilst playing good football.

Today just wasn't our day. End of story.

I assume you wont be congratulating the team when we finally win the title?

Dont get this idea about people who are critical today not having the right to celebrate when we do win the league.

 

Well should we not be bettering that. - We were a shambles anytime they got in the box. your a bit like my uncle your not supposed to diss anyone from the team. And yes i will be happy when we eventually get over the line.but that doesnt hide the fact that they let everyone down last week and again today. And like a few other`s on here am not happy how Lennon always seems to respect that mob...were supposed to be riding high we should have went at them. soon as i saw cha du ri and ki were in the team then it`s going to be a long day.

 

Celtic should have taken to the field today and played with an arrogant swagger of title winners. Should have * all over this lot 21 points behind with half a team and no future.

What did we get? A bunch of terrified rabbits trapped in the headlights.Terrified or just bone lazy/exhausted which was it? Bring the thunder back?? Not today buddy.

 

Of course we should be bettering if it but we didn't. Plain and simple. That's football. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. It doesn't justify the disrespect that is being spewed toward our team and our manager. Some people really can't handle losing and they are usually the same people who do the mos shouting when we win.

Fact is it was always going to be tough winning at ibrox....did you all really think we were going to win 5-0 or something?

We were down to 9 men because of chan and wanyama (which I do think were red cards)

Hooper wasn't fit so he gave what the majority of Celtic fans have wanted and started stokes up front....

So to me we've all been spoiled this season and as soon as it all doesnt go to plan som of you grump basdards come crawling and slate Lenny! I hope to * you don't celebrate winning the league and cup final in weeks to come or you really are just glory hunters.

 

Maybe they want us to be like China,North Korea & syria and to be told when & what to say

There is a difference between being critical and the disrespectful nonsense that has been posted on this thread.

The same people spouting that nonsense will be popping champagne no doubt when that same team and manager they are slating, finally gets us over the line.

I have been critical of us today but i also accept that sometimes things just don't go the way you want. I also accept that sometimes we don't always play the way we can. I also accept that you have to take the good with the *.

However, when we have to take the *, i don't start being downright disrespectful and abusive to the very people who will ultimately give us the party and celebrations when it's all done and dusted.

 

So you think it's ok (and i'm speaking about the thread in general, not necessarily you) to be disrespectful to the point of abusive to the team and manager you are supposed to support? Then to go onto enjoy the celebrations and good time that will be had when those same people who are being disrespected are the ones making that party possible?

 

I think you will find it`s the "manner" of the way we lost these past 2 sundays. you would have thought we were the ones 21 points behind today. anyway am not going to dwell on it any longer.. one thing ive seen over the past month is that hopefully Lennon will see the "Hangers on" that is in the squad and will be sold or let go. cos if we want to progress we need to be shot of these.

And i don't disagree that both defeats and the manner of those defeats have been disappointing but does it really justify some of the comments on this thread?

Defeats have been few and far between this season. ffs look at the run we have been on? Who achieved that run of results? Who achieved turning a 15 point deficit into a, now, 18 point advantage?

We can't win them all, and sometimes you have to eat *, but this thread is the very definition of fickle fans.

What we shouldn't do is disrespect, abuse and slate our own team and manager when they have been a credit to themselves and the club for the majority of the season.

By all means, be critical, be disappointed and be angry but threads like this only serve to prove that many fans are glory hunters and nothing more. At the first hint of loss or defeat and they hit out with inane ramblings and abuse because they simply cannot handle losing a game of football. The bigger picture means nothing, they spit the dummy out because we lost.

Had we won today they would have been full of praise and this thread wouldn't exist. What does that tell you?

They can't handle losing a single * game. Sad.

 

I found it easier to defend Neil when we were fifteen points behind, I wanted him to have a chance to win something and show what he can do in the big games. Now I'm finding it harder to defend him, because we don't seem to turn up in the big games. it's not even just losing, it's the manner and way we lose, I can't remember the last time we turned up to ibrox and got about them the way they get about us, right from the off. Add to that his mad antics and getting himself sent off when we need our manager and a cool head more than ever. It's not defendable.
Not angry, just really, really disappointed with the way the players performed, but most of all Neil Lennon.
