Don't see how its laughable at all, Ki does next to no work defensively therefore his midfield partner has to do far more work. There is a reason anyone played next to him looks awful.

we were abysmal in the Motherwell game until Ki injured himself so probably not the best example for you to use.

I've been looking on this thread for a while and it got me thinking, why not just make a new thread, those of you who seem think he is not what Celtic need but are expecting other clubs to pay upwards of £3m for, or he is not suited for the SPL but could play in Serie A or La Ligue.......FFS ! Make a choice:50:

we weren't making any chances until Paddy came on, we were the worse team for the majority of the first half.

    Agreed.

Ki makes the other central midfielder look bad when he plays and the team generally struggles badly when he is in the team. It dozen't matter if it is Brown, Wanyama, Ledley or Kayal they all suffer as they have to do twice the work and effort to accommodate Ki due to his lack of workrate, tackling and tracking back. This subsequently causes our defence to come under severe pressure, and invariably leads to the loss of crucial goals, I am sure if looked at minutely the stats would back that up.

If truth be told our midfielders must dread being paired with Ki as he is a luxury we have never been able to afford in our team, and opposing managers must be rubbing their hands in glee when they see Ki on the team sheet.

I am convinced if Ki hadn't started again Hearts in the Cup Semi Final ( remember the two shocking sitters he missed from only two yards ), and came on in the 56th minute against Kilmarnock in the Cup Final, we would have won both those games.. We would have got more joy from Dylan McGeough in those games I am sure.

Wasn't Ki excellent when he came on? I was there and can remember him changing the game for us...

I said this a good few pages back. Id hate to play alongside someone like ki. Lazy rarely sticks a tackle in. I agree other players suffer when he plays. Out team is just better when e doesnt play. Its in the stats and it is very clear too see. When ki is on the park we are constantly defending in our own half as ki expects someone to pressure and win the ball whilst he sits infrot of the defenders waiting for others to do the work. I genuinly cant stand seeing him on the teamsheet. Or even on the bench. He brings nothing to our team.
