i said on a previous quote that Ki does asmuch work as Wanyama, so....no, i didnt say that?

slowing down play...his fist 18months at the club? true

Last 12months? its became a Myth, Ki moves the ball on as fast as anyone else, Brown dallies on the ball more than Ki

Not always available for a pass, but certainly makes himself available.

His defensive liabilities affect the whole team, hence why many people feel that his weaknesses are far outweighing his positives at the moment.

Not a chance in * would it be that low. He is the current Asian Player of the Year and has a marketing ability of about £1.75m a year alone.

    Other clubs no this.

    I'm no turncoat:bbpd:

The reason Ki * me off so much is because he has talent - but is so inconsistent that it is frustrating.

If he works on being more aggressive and more consistent, then we may have a cracking player........right now, he is nothing more than decent in my eyes.

Plus, I won't say something negative about him just for the sake of it - I say what I feel:84:

haha you also admitted that he has a full array of passing :50:

also in a few games this season the movement from the forward line has been atrocious, if theres a lack of movement, then theres a lack of forward passing, simple

    youre a * :bbpd::56:

If we could get £4m for him that would be a decent deal.

If he ups his game next season, and puts in some good performances in Europe then £6m upwards is not fantasy figures.

The emboldened part was what I was commenting on there - where you said Wanyama strolls back. Wanyama can't be accused of not putting a shift in and is always one of the first to close down the ball, whereas Ki rarely tracks a runner and often makes very little effort to get back. As I said earlier in the thread, the Dunfermline game at home in which he missed the penalty, he was after a counter attack left as our second highest man up the pitch, just short of Hooper. This left Stokes and the oft-criticised McCourt further back and defending whilst the ball was on the edge of the box where Ki, as a central midfielder, should have been.

so your basing it all on one game?

what about the recent game he got injured? he got injured chasing back, further back than any other mid

yes he's guilty of it sometimes, but its not as much as you suggest imo

No that's just an example. The problem is that as a core job of a central midfielder he shouldn't be guilty of it as often as he is.

Kayal looked abysmal at the start of the season playing with Ki but suddenly looked better when played with Wanyama or Ledley, was this because he was struggling to do the defensive job of two players?

nah, probs cause he signed a new contract :50:

suggesting that whoever plays with Ki has takes on the workload of 2 players is laughable :56:

Well if the other player has to do more defending because of Ki's liabilities, then there may be an element of truth in that to some extent.

but i was watching the Celtic Motherwell game a few weeks ago, because i wanted to see the truth in this claim....it was Ledley playing beside Ki, and Ledley really didnt do anymore work than he would usually do, Ki was generally, there, in beside him...

i think the others do there job and Ki does his, i dont think there is a HUGE shift in workload onto another player, i dont really think the likes of Ledley couldrun much more than he already does tbh :56:

What? How dare you mention Mr. Consistency and that Korean Kidder in the same sentence? :97:

In all seriousness though - there are times when Ledley is a bit quiet, but that will be overlooked everyday of the week as he is pretty much consistence-personified.

Ki, I believe, would be granted similar leeway if he were to provide unarguable consistency of the same level :50:
