Ive never once mentioned that he isn't a tidy passer in this thread - he is.

I've seen him play a range of passes this season: sideways, backwards, forwards, cross field - mostly to good effect. In all honesty, we have a few players at the club so I'm not particularly bothered if Ki's in the team or not.

He's got a cracking powerful drive on him - i just wish he would take more shots from outside of the box.

I don't agree with you about closing down as much as Wanyama - although he does mostly make attempts to close down, just so happens only a few times in a game he will win the ball or put off the opposing midfielder.

Plenty of times I've seen him wandering around midfield when the team is on the defensive - but he does make himself more available when on the attack.

A good player no doubt - but even better players have had to adapt to play in our team, something I think Ki is still to do.

Needs to provide more consistency and urge - If he has been out of the team through injury etc. fair enough, but he needs to work even harder to get back into the team - as with all players.

Wanyama is guilty of strolling back at times, which considering he is generally our most defensive minded Midfielder, its bothers me, but anyway back to Ki....

I agree he does have to improve his consistency, but, as ive mentioned before, and im sure most Pro's would agree, its hard to find consistent form when you arent starting consistently.

About the urge...presuming you mean the speed of his play, i think this is the biggest improvment in Ki, this season he has been moving the ball of hastily and the speed of his passes have quickened also, i dont think this is longer a problem ON the ball, OFF the ball? he could maybe pick it up a but, but its not as bad as some have suggested

and i just have to say.....your opinions on Ki on this quote arent overly critical.....but look back in the thread and you'll see so many quotes that just completely undervalue Ki from various posters, thats the only thing that Riles me, i dont think Ki is ghods gift, but when people unfairly scrutinize, it grates on me

Again, that's only your opinion that the criticism is unfair, or that someone is "undervaluing" him

He needs to show a bit more fight, similar to the way Samaras has this season. Just more effort in general; the mental side of his game needs working on. He seems a big softie, he's a big guy he needs to realise it.

I don't think his ability with the ball can be questioned though. Positional sense and work rate is his biggest problems.

I'm only going on from what I have seen - of which I agree with about 90% of the criticism......I dare say there will maybe one or two who take the criticism too far - but they're entitled to do so as they wish

his positional sense when we have the ball is excellent, hes always an option

but off the ball he sometimes does know where to stand, definate improvement needed, although still never a "liability" :50:

And you say Ki doesn't... :97: I don't think I've ever seen Ki track a runner and stay with him in the last 6 months at least. As for him slowing the play down, I think this is a valid observation and one which negatively affects the team.

I think on the ball he is decent, not as good as so many make out on here but good enough. For example, although he slows the game down and isn't very ambitious with his passes too often, he rarely gives the ball away or plays a slack pass. Off the ball though he can be, and often is, atrocious.

His defensive positioning can be a liability at times. Agree when we have the ball his positioning is very good; he is always available for a pass.

Something that Beram Kayal does as well by the way and that was when Ki was at his best. I don't think our other midfielders do it quite as well.

Whenever I listen to Clyde 1 they always talk about a potential 5-6 million bid for Ki coming in this summer. I would definitely take that, but I can't see it being that much to be honest, I reckon it would be closer to 3 or 3.5 million for him.
