I think we've had this same conversation about 20 times Paddy :56:

That part wasn't directed at you, I can see where you're coming from, it's others on here that seem to go out of there way to make up an excuse to cover the good play.

Happens with Paddy McCourt as well for some reason.

    It's * baffling.

And that makes you a superior supporter? or am i picking that up wrong there?

I support the players when they walk out on to the park, and I will criticise them after the game as I am more than entitled to.

If he hasn't been getting a consistent run in the team, then why is that? If it's because if the performances of other players, then it's down to him to earn a spot in the team - not us "fickle" fans.

The likes of dunfermaline and hibs he certainly does it in the big games anyway when it matters. He cowars away in games like dun utd OF games hearts. He doesnt dare stick his head out. Thats where his trademark "tidy passing" comes into play. Just a jersey on the park. A middle man for passing between two players. A ghost for massive parts of the game

Think it's a tad more than 20 times me ol' mucker :56::56::56:

We're certainly like chalk and cheese when it comes to our opinions on Ki. One of these players I would love to see become uber successful at Celtic Park - don't think he has justified a consistent place in the first team - as well as the reason I think his inclusion in our particular midfield throws our balance to *.

Obviously you'll get some people who'll just give him pelters because they don't like his play and that become blinding - and the opposite is true of those who have marathon wankathon's to his fake facebook page :56::56::56:

I honestly think some of the comments in this long-running thread have been nothing short of mind-boggling......almost choked when Lennon said he was "world class" in a particular * game last season as well :88:

Now you are putting words in my mouth, haven't said that at all, im saying thats how i operate as a celtic fan, others can do it their own way.

Also i didn't call you fickle, i said some fans are fickle in that they quickly forget good things about a player and focus too much on the negatives.

    Agreed there :50:

He doesn't deserve a place, whatsoever just now.

    Kayal, Ledley, Wanyama, Broony, Ki.

That's the way it goes. Plus I'd always have Broony on the pitch no matter what the now so * knows.

    Love our midfield just now.

I think you are misinterpreting what I was trying to say, imo the elo system doesn't give a team enough credit for playing a difficult schedule and rewards teams for playing dross. You only have to look at the United States a couple of years ago who were ranked 4th in the world in the elo system because we played nobody. Korea have benefitted in the same manner. The system should be more heavily weighted to favor teams who play a harder schedule.

The way some people go on about him here youd think they were talking about Crosas or Sno.

Wasn't attempting to put words into your mouth, asked a genuine question wether you think you are a better supporter than those questioning Ki's contribution to the team because you support him?

I wasn't insinuating you called me fickle, but again what are you and others deeming to be "fickle" - someone who speaks more of the negatives than positives? And what if others don't agree with others assessments of his positive attributes?

I'll pose this question to you and/or others - do you think some fans are over-criticising his attibutes to combat the argument of those they believe are over-hyping his attributes?

No being snyde/funny here -just trying to get general opinions from this * epically-long and tiresome thread :56::56::56:

Am I right in saying that during Ki's most "successful" spell this season, he was playing either left of midfield, or right?

it will be interesting to see where his place in the pecking order of the team is once you add to that list above:

Kayal, Ledley, Wanyama, Brown, Commons, Forrest, McGeouch, Ibrahim, Ki?????

What ure getting at about criticising to combat the over hype is why this thread has been going non stop recently. I was critical of ki before knowledge of this thread but definetly more so since discovering the thread.

Sammy was getting far more abuse before he turned it around, Forrest was also getting quite a bit of abuse last year. Blaming the fans for Ki's poor form is just idiotic.

I've also been critical of Ki before Venglos even began this thread - but I suppose I have been more critical now because of some of the astronomically-inflated comments about him, and in particular the amount of tedious "scapegoat" comments.

Well in the answer to your initial question no i do not.
Second question if others don't agree then put forward a good argument as to why it isn't a positive rather than keep harping on about what they perceive his negatives to be.

To your third question, i think there is a bit of both, at times he is both over-hyped and over-criticised. The main difference i feel is there is a lot of myths that try to be created in relation to some of Ki's supposed weaknesses, a lot of stats are used in an attempt to back this information up, yet stats providing an opposite take are not taken into account.

I suppose you could say the same for Ki's positives that there are myths there too although in my opinion there aren't any myths, some of his capabilities may be overstated but no myths created.

This thread has two extremes and there are those who are slightly left or right of centre, i myself tend towards the right of centre in that i like him as a player and realise his attributes as well as his faults, i see you as someone who is left of centre, in that he is further down your pecking order but you can still see some of the things he can bring to the team.

In essence i don't think anyone who already has an opinion of Ki is going to change their mind because of what you or I say, i try to put forward why i think what i think but i guess Ki is just someone who will split our support.
