you just made that up....when Ki was in the team last year....and lets exclude the old firm game because thats a game that we sometimes win,and we sometimes lose....but the other games, the teams selection werent always consistant, or strong...

Tynecastle last season when we lost 2-0.....Had Hooiveld in defence due to injuries, also played Maloney, Sammy, Hooper and Stokes....all on the same pitch, not a sensible selection to go away to hearts..., and Joe Ledley was(unfairly) sent off.....can hardly blame Ki

Dundee utd at CP, 1-1....Niall McGinn starts in mid, Murphy upfront, Cha in defence rather than Willo....

Inverness at CP, 2-2.....we have Hooiveld at LB, Mulgrew LM, and Cha RB, with Murphy again upfront.....Ki scored in this one...

Killie at CP, 1-1.....McGinn and Murphy start again(beginning to see a trend here, eh?)

Motherwell away 2-0.....This was a strong line-up, but didnt Mulgrew have an absolute SHOCKER?, im sure he did

St. Johnstone this season at CP, 1-0, Wanyama debuts at CB along with Maj who has a bad game, Maloney plays upfront as hooper is out, we also just lost Izzy....

Tynecastle this season 2-0, El Kaddouri in defence, Bangura starts upfront, Commons gets sent off....

these games were bad results in periods of Ki's best form imo....

so you see? the whole team chopped and changed

when Ki was playing, there were alot of things to consider, like McGinn and Murphy starting....2 reds at tynecastle, but, it seems people forget these things, and a arguement against Ki is those 3 draws in nov/dec last season, when Ki was starting alot, but noone mentions the poor defensive form, and inclusions of McGinn and Murphy....neither being Celtic class....id suggest it was their selection, and defensive frailty, especially from set-pieces that made us drop points, not the inclusion of Ki.

im not saying we are better, with or without Ki, im just showing you there are many Variables to consider

Indeed but I wouldn't imagine he'd be trawling Celtic forums...........

    Aye - many failings.

Well I'll tell you something, the headless chicken, as you put it, has had much more of an impact on us overturning that massive 15 point deficit and ultimately becoming champions again.

On yesterday, I didn't think he was any great shakes and we played our best football after he went off, coincidence perhaps, maybe not.

the headless chicken was injured when we clawed back those points, just like he was injured last season when we took the lead of the huns in the league

You've picked out quite a few individual games but I could do the same when Ki wasn't in the team, the start of the season the team chopped and changed quite a bit no matter if Ki was playing or not. I agree with you that there are other variables that must be taken into account, in fact I believe I said so in my post but still our winning percentage with ki in the team just shocks me.

I had a bit of time today and decided to see what our winning percentage with Ki in the team this year has been. I feel this year is probably a better sample than last because we haven't changed the team anywhere near as much as we did last year. In the league this year we have won 92% of the games Ki has not started, we have only won 71% of the games Ki has started. Once again the stats are damning. The only league game we haven't won without Ki was the Aberdeen draw where Lenny decided to change around half the team for no reason.

Disclaimer: I'm not to good at math so the stats could be slightly off.

Nah we were still behind when he came back, the first game he made an appearance after his injury we won to take their lead down to 4 points.

From that game, the start of December, there's absolutely no debate to be had about who has played better overall in a Celtic jersey.

yeah, but we've won alot with Ki in the team too, you can blame any player for a loss, loads of players were off at the start of the season, Remember people were saying Kayal and Hooper werent trying?

we just had a bad spell, then we went on a good run, which was great :50:, but form changes, even with Ki out of the team, and our strongest team is on the pitch, we wont win every week

Don't think we're ever going to agree on the merits of Broony & Ki respectively.

You're obviously not a fan of the Captain at all, and I'm the same about Ki.

Ki Sung-yueng to miss remainder of Celtic's season

Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has been ruled out for the season after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-0 victory over Motherwell on Sunday.
The Scottish champions say Ki will be out for "four to five weeks".
The South Korean will sit out Sunday's Old Firm clash against Rangers at Celtic Park and the final three games of the campaign.
Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Filip Twardzik is out for a fortnight after suffering a foot injury.
The Czech youngster was hurt during Monday night's 8-0 victory over Queen of the South in the SFA Youth Cup final.

For the centre of midfield being the strongest part of our team we've been helluva unlucky with injuries in there this year.

Bad news for Ki and for Twardzik but definite good news for McGeouch and us as fans. Hopefully Dylan will get some full games under his belt now and prove he is now ready to stake his claim for a starting berth.

I'd be lying if I said I was disappointed with this news.

I'd be happy for Sunday to have been his last game in a Celtic top.
