Ki has done very little in the "big games". Near enough every single one of his fellow, apparently less talented, midfielders has made much more of a bigger impact in the crunch games.

The Scottish Cup final last season is the only one that really springs to mind. He's often lauded for his contribution in the 2-2 game at the shitpit but that, IMO, has to be one of the most exaggerated performances I've ever seen.

    hardly a favourite

he played in the cup final as a sub....

he played in the game at ibrox cause forrest, hooper and kayal were injured...

he played in the Semi cause he played well the week before, where we crushed Killie to win the title, Lenny didnt want to change a winning team...

    problem?

Yeh tbh mate. Despite injurys i still wouldnt of played him. There are still better players in the team. Coming on as a sub the team plays worse. My point in all this. He brings nothing positive to the team. If anything hes a negative influence. I just dont want him in the team. (this might be the salt in the wound) id play mcourt over him everyday of the week as an impact player.

in the cup final we played better when he came on, people say he was at fault for the goal, but that was mainly K.Wilson and Matthews was nowhere to be seen, it was the same story with a couple of games in the last couple of months where we got more control of the game when he came on.

you talked about not deserving a start, the other players available had made less of an impact than Ki this season, whos scored about 8 goals and assisted a similar amount, he deserved his place over the like of McCourt, no doubting that.

Im not even saying he should start just now, just alot of the criticism is harsh

I think players are far more frustrated playing alongside brown than ki who is much better than him

Ki was at fault for the goal, Matthews lost the ball but that happens in football. Ki fell asleep and his man ran past him to deliver the decisive cross into the box.

I personally would love to have a player like brown alongside me in the team. You can never accuse him of not trying. I like brown. Not the most technically gifted. But he ll claw every inch for the team apart fromthat hes a big personality off the park and i imagine alot of people look up to him in the changin room

Ki chased him and attempted a last ditch block, but his man was faster than him. That happens in football.

It does happen in football but too often too ki. Postioning is very lazy. He saw where he should have been but expected the ball not toget too his man when it did .. Too little too late. It was a really good cross but.

I can't agree - are there numerous examples of Ki in particular being at fault for goals?

    +1.

Broony is a far more effective player for Celtic than Ki. It's not even close.

To say he brings nothing to the team, isn't the one of our highest scoring and assisting midfielders this season?

7 goals and numerous assists so far this season. Furthermore, I don't even think Ki has been playing anywhere near to his potential. If we can keep him for a few more seasons we'll be laughing.

The man got in behind Ki because he was lazy and switched off, he was at fault for the goal. If we had been playing someone a bit less lazy we wouldn't have conceded, simple as that really.

I think some of the lengths people have gone to in this thread to make Ki look worse than he has played is shocking.

The even more shocking part is people talk like this about a young lad pulling on the jersey for the club we all support.

Maybe if people got behind him, instead of slating him, his performances would be back to peak levels. Football is a confidence game.
