I'm the same. There was no need to change green hoops and blue stripes do not clash. We were the home team and they were drawn as the away so why did we both wear away kits.

Have we ever won in that strip yet ? - The shops cant be selling them so get them to wear them in the final (cynical) - Soon as i saw No hoops,Collum was the ref...you get that feeling that it`s going to be a longggggggg day.

killie played in yellow, did they not? so why no Hoops,That * ref again!!!

anyway screw the cup, what happened just before the end was shocking, liam kelly's dad,now thats a very sad story in my opinion as your dad comes to watch his son play in a very important cup final for him and killie, then bang that happens, unreal i really feel for the lad kelly this morning

It was the SFL guideline, (nothing to do with the referee) as it was determined that both 'home' kits clash, that BOTH teams are required to wear change strips:

I think we always play crap in away shirts, especially the last bumblebee which was definitely a jinx.

  8. Its a stupid looking shirt. I knew we were in for it when I saw it

Yous are all spot on, see when Hooper was through on goal he was about to unleash it into the top of the net then Boom! He spotted that he was wearing the away top and that made him miss.....

Who actually cares what strip we play in? It's the people wearing them that are to blame:56:

    The Hoops!

I can understand Celtic having to change strips where there is likely to be some sort of clash of colours etc, but I never understand why they don't play in the Hoops when it's such a critical match, maybe it's just me but I'm sure it makes a difference to the players on the park, they mostly play together with the Hoops why change it for a cup final????:31::31::31:

    Related threads merged.

As I posted earlier in this thread, the SFL made that decision on Wednesday last week.

Some people just don't get it, maybe they are just a bit thick! no one is saying strips win matches, the way Celtic played yesterday they got everthing they desserved regardless of the comments about refs etc. I feel like many on here that we play better in the Hoops....Is that too hard to understand???

Yes it is. Guess I'm one of those thick people that think that we didn't win because we couldn't score:56:

Think everyone would prefer to see our Bhoys in the Hoops week in, week out. Th reality is the decision is not always Celtic's & the players simply have to adjust, no matter what kit they are required to play in.

Let's be honest the kit had * all to do with the result. We failed to take our chances and got beat, simple as that. If you look back to the 2001 final it was the same, both us and killie played in our changed kits
