    They really are class. They don't get the recognition they deserve to be honest.

    They are at the Barrowlands in December. The first two nights sold out really fast and they added a third.

    Seen Stone Roses in Madison Square Gardens, decent sound and ok atmosphere. Few nights later seen Noel Gallagher in the Beacon Theatre... terrible sound. Best gig this year was Colin Hay at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Joe Jackson in Berlin was excellent as well, really good musician and terrific performer. Adele was a great show in Glasgow, more a present for the missus, but cant knock her, the girl has some great songs.

    In all that though, the top man is James Grant, get to go and see him a couple of times a year and is brilliant. Good Celtic man an aw.

    Went to Biffy Clyro at Bellahouston Park yesterday. It was a good gig in a good setting.

    The security was incredible. I've never seen so much police or security before. Everyone was getting frisked and they even went through my wallet.

    I've got no idea how so many people manage to get so much hash in. I was * off just how many people squeezed in and thought it was alright to spark up whilst bumping off everyone. A lot of people are going to have holes all over their clothes.

    I'd definitely go back next year if they have another good line up.

    It's only £40 for a weekend ticket. No camping though so local digs will need to be found.

    If I wasn't away, I'd be up for that. Not a bad first attempt at all.

    I never find out about these things until it's too late.

    The legends that are Iron Maiden announcing their UK tour on Friday 23rd Sept. A leaked tour poster has them playing Glasgow 17th May 2017. Can't wait. The best heavy metal band ever.

    The superb Blackberry Smoke play the Barrowlands on April 3rd next year. Got my tickets already. Can't wait. And for anyone who likes country/rock, Whiskey Myers are playing St Lukes in the Calton early December. That'll be a good show.

    I see Green Day have announced they're playing Bellahouston Park next year. Need to get a ticket for that.

    Them and Muse are the only bands I've yet to see that I really want to.
